*she laughs softly, perhaps visibly the slightest bit uncomfortable, but continuing in politeness and compassion*

“There we are! That’s a lovely face…eye…? All of you! I must admit I’ve had a not so pleasant experience with a Dark Matter presence in the past, but you seem very different and far be it from me to judge you for the actions of your others. As for how I deal with stress…well…before, when I lived alone, I would communicate with my plants, they were my family and the only other lives I knew for the longest time. After the erm…incident…I couldn’t do that, and all by myself I would have what my beloved one has told me are ‘panic attacks’. Which does seem to describe them, the stress was almost unbearable to manage all alone. Once I met him, I would talk to him when I could once the feeling was taking hold, and he would listen and even taught me a trick! I will pass it on to you! He told me to breathe in and out slowly and as evenly as I could through my mouth, and to just name things I could see around me. So things like ‘desk. Chair. Flower. Lamp.’ Etc! This often helped. He called this ‘grounding’ yourself, and when it gets to be too much for me, he helps me to ground myself by guiding me through it. I’ve even helped him a few times as he struggles with stress himself! I won’t lie I feel a little pride for doing so. I also squeeze my stuffed Como, Jeri as tightly as possible if I’m alone and the stress starts to overwhelm me. I brought him with me during the tourney for comfort. He’s very soft and has a very lovable face, he’s helped me through many hard times! I hope all this helps you! Don’t forget that while uncomfortable, stress is a natural feeling and you shouldn’t shame yourself for feeling it! If you need to cry, or find a place you can scream it out if need be, I absolutely advise this! I’ve done so myself many times! I wish you well dear, and good luck in all your endeavors. I feel very reflective after speaking with you, so thank you for that.”

Kirby Star Allies: The Universe is in a Big Pinch!? (Chapter 2)
Popstar, seen through the window, was getting smaller and smaller.
Staring at it, Francisca muttered in a daze. "Never again will I visit such a hot and bitter star."
Jammerjab was weak, tied up at her feet.
Francisca looked down at Jammerjab with icy eyes. "That fireball boy that was with you attacked me. It was so painful I feel like I'm melting."
Francisca was not good with hot weather. Her battle with Burning Leo was an easy win for her, she didn't even have to take it seriously. But the flames of the fight made a mess of her.
"I'm so uncomfortable. I'll have to refresh myself in a cool place…"
"Fr-Francisca…" Jammerjab said, swaying. "Why? Why bring me back…?"
"You want to know why? I'll tell you." Francisca brushed her hand through her hair. "Because he told me never to forgive traitors!"
"Oh, him…" Jammerjab was so scared he almost fainted.
Francisca continued with a harsh voice. "Zan Partizanne destroyed the dark fortress Jambastion to get rid of you and that pink stubby thing. However, somehow, you both escaped. It was a mistake to let you go, even if we were in a hurry. When I reported it to him, he got very angry…"
Francisca shook her head. "I was told to see if you were sick of Jambastion. If you ever ran away you would never be forgiven. So, I was ordered to take you back. The other Mage Sisters and I used rock-paper-scissors- I mean, we had a meeting, and I was chosen to play this role.”
"W-why…? I'm just a soldier…"
"Of course." Francisca shook her head with annoyance. "It doesn't matter what happens to you, but if our secrets leaked from your mouth, it would be a big deal."
"I-I won't!" Jammerjab desperately screamed. "I don't even know any important secrets. There's nothing I could tell Kirby…!"
"Quiet down." Francisca coldly blocked Jammerjab. "If you have something to say, speak it in front of him. My mission is just to bring you to him." Francisca quietly left the room.
Jammerjab, left alone, closed his eyes tightly. He couldn't stop trembling when he imagined the weight of what was waiting for him.
The Warp Star carrying Kirby and his friends rushed through outer space, shining like a shooting star.
Burning Leo asked. "Hey, Kirby, are we there yet?"
"Eh? What?"
"What's taking so long? How much longer until we get to where the enemy is?"
"I don't know where we’re going." Kirby replied bluntly.
Burning Leo screamed back. "What do you mean you don't know where it is? You, you told me…"
"Oh yeah, I didn't even think about it. Where is Francisca anyways?"
"Whaaaat!?" Burning Leo shouted as he was about to fall off the Warp Star.
"You don't even know where the enemy that took Jammerjab is!?"
"I know her name, but I don't know where she went."
"Eeeh!? Waddle Dee! Do you!?"
"Not really, I don't know where she is either."
"Then where are we even going-!?"
"Uhh…" Kirby thought about it. "I just jumped on thinking I had to hurry, but I wasn't thinking about where. What do we do now?"
"What do you mean what do we do!? The universe is huge! How are we going to find Jammerjab with no clues?"
"Hmm, I don't know." Kirby said without any worry. "Anyways, let's go down to some star."
"Some star? Where?"
"There's a little star over there. We might find some clues there."
"We can't find clues just anywhere!" Burning Lea screamed, but Kirby was already flying.
He landed the Warp Star on the closest asteroid in front of them.
The earth was the color of twilight. A large tree similar to a famous one seen on Dreamland had roots in the ground and branches in all directions.
Kirby jumped from the Warp Star and started walking in the right direction.
Burning Leo, who followed him, was anxious that his flames would go out. "Hey… so, what are you doing…?"
"I'm looking for clues."
"So you… you really are looking for Jammerjab!"
"Of course!" With plenty of confidence, Kirby nodded.
Waddle Dee said. "Why don't we ask the inhabitants of this planet? Maybe someone has seen Francisca or Jammerjab."
"It's not just going to be that easy!" Burning Leo walked off.
"…Noisy boy." He heard a grumbling voice.
Burning Leo jumped up in amazement and looked around. "Who, who's there!?"
"Before asking for someone's name, you should give your own. You have no etiquette."
He heard a voice, but he couldn't see it. Both Kirby and Waddle Dee were wandering around.
Burning Leo shouted as he leaned back. "Hi there, I'm Burning Leo!"
"Hmm, a cruel boy. Don't spread your fire around me."
"What…?"
At that moment, Waddle Dee noticed and shouted. "It's the tree! This tree is talking!"
Just as Waddle Dee says, upon a closer look, the big tree in front of them had eyes and a nose. He had eyebrows like cherry leaves and a fine beard.
Kirby said. "Wow, he's kind of like Whispy Woods… but he looks a lot older than him."
Whispy Woods was a resident of Dreamland, familiar to Kirby and his friends. He looked like a tree with eyes and a nose and when he got angry, would throw apples out to attack people.
This old cherry tree that Kirby and his friends were talking to was bigger than Whispy Woods and it's leaves were bushy and orange.
Kirby looked up at the old tree and said. "Hello! I'm Kirby!"
"Hmmm… I am Yggy Woods."
"Nice to meet you, Yggy Woods. We have something to ask of you."
"What, pink child?"
"Did Francisca come to this star?"
Yggy Woods raised his eyebrow.
Waddle Dee added. "She has blue hair and swings an ice axe. She's one of the Three Mage Sisters…"
"The Three Mage Sisters! Are you with them!?" Yggy Woods shouted with anger.
Realizing the misunderstanding, Waddle Dee hurriedly tried to explain, but Yggy Woods refused to listen.
"Are you here to hurt the people of this planet again!? Get out of here!"
"No, no, not us. We, a friend of ours was kidnapped by Francisca…"
"Go away! We don't want you here on this asteroid!" Yggy Woods got angry and shook furiously.
Something fell from the branches above. It was a black, round creature with four shining blades. More malicious four-bladed creatures fell on Kirby and his friends.
"Hey! Stop it, that hurts!"
"Faahaaha! Go, Gordos! Defeat the unwelcome!" Yggy Woods laughed and dropped more four-bladed Gordos one after another.
"It hurts, it’s so painful!" Kirby and his friends ran around with their heads in their arms.
Kirby wanted to attack and protect himself, but he didn't have any copy abilities.
Waddle Dee was close to crying. "I should have at least brought a parasol! At this rate, we…!"
"Hmm, only I can fight! Leave it to me!" It was Burning Leo's brave voice. His flame of his fiery mane burned violently. "Yeah! I'll burn him down with my flames!"
Burning Leo blew fire at Yggy Woods, quickly avoiding the Gordos.
"Woaah!? What are you doing, you violent man!" Yggy Woods was upset and tried to extinguish the fire by shaking his leaves. The Gordos stopped falling while he shook.
Waddle Dee shouted. "Yeah! Yggy Woods is a tree, so he's vulnerable to fire!"
Upon hearing that, Burning Leo's heart was strengthened. "Alright! By the way, I've never lost a fight with Whispy Woods!"
Burning Leo got on his feet and blew fire. Instead of surrendering, Yggy Woods launched a counterattack.
"Noooo! I'll never be defeated by minions of the Three Mage Sisters!" Yggy Woods barked loudly.
A large amount of giant cherries fell instead of Gordos. There were dozens more of these rugged fruit than the Gordo attacks from before!
"Wooah! Heey!" Burning Leo was overturned by the barrage of cherry bullets.
Waddle Dee shouted. "Burning Leo was knocked out…! Kirby, we need to get away from here…"
However, instead of cowering, Kirby licked his lips with shining eyes. He danced and cheered. "Cherries! I love cherries!" Kirby opened his mouth wide and began to inhale the falling cherries.
Waddle Dee was disappointed and pulled Kirby's hand. "There's no time for eating! We need to run away…!"
"They’re delicious! Waddle Dee, try some."
"I don't think I should!"
"Oh, golden cherry!" A single golden cherry had fallen, mixed in with the normal cherries. Kirby was ecstatic. "It's a unique cherry! I'm sure it tastes special!"
"Kirby! We need to leave soon!"
"Let's eat it!" Kirby closed his eyes and opened his mouth wide. He devoured the golden cherry in one quick gulp. “Mmm-mmm~! Delicious~!"
As soon as he opened his mouth he cried out. Kirby's appearance had changed. A hat with seven rainbow-colored feathers on his head, a pink star shining in the middle of the hat.
Waddle Dee was amazed. "Eh!? Kirby's appearance has changed… No way, is this a new copy ability…!?"
From somewhere, he heard the chanting and chiming of lively music. Kirby raised his hands and shouted cheerfully. "Festival! Let's dance, everyone!"
"…Eh?" Waddle Dee was in a cold sweat. "Oh, he wants to dance… Kirby…"
"I'm having fun! Let's dance, Waddle Dee, join me!" Kirby took a light step to the right and left.
The music grew louder and louder while Kirby screamed to the rhythm. This was the new copy ability "Festival" gained from the golden cherries!
Waddle Dee said in a hurry. "This is the copy ability!? Just dancing…? I don't think… this is the type of… ability we need… but…!?" While saying that, Waddle Dee began to take steps too. "Oh!? Wh-what is this!? It’s like my feet have a mind of their own!!"
Burning Leo, who was upside down, got up and complained. "What are you doing, Kirby, Waddle Dee!? I'm fighting seriously! Why don't you… help me… out… unless…!?"
Burning Leo also started to move involuntarily while saying that. "Oh…? What am I doing… Hey… this is fun!"
"Wahoo! Party time, party tiime!"
"Wahoo~!"
"Wahoo~!"
Dancing together, they joined in for the climax of the deadly trick, the Festival Dance!
"Taa daa~!"
"La laa~!"
Before he knew it, even Yggy Woods, who was supposed to be fighting them, was joining in a circle for the Festival Dance. "Foo… hoo… hey, this is… this is getting fun! Oh, oh, yeah!"
"Yeah!"
The music was getting more and more lively as it reached the climax.
"Cha cha cha!" Kirby, Waddle Dee, and Burning Leo posed together side by side.
As soon as the music was over, Kirby's splashy hat disappeared.
Yggy Woods spoke out of breath. "Haaaaa! That was a blast. I feel like I'm a young sprout again!" He finally remembered the others were there. "Huh!? I know what you just did. You put on a sneaky strategy to confuse me with all that music…!"
"No wait, listen to me!" Waddle Dee raised his voice.
Yggy Woods tried to cry out, but his words couldn't continue as he was out of breath from the festival. With the opportunity, Waddle Dee explained what happened to them so far.
"…Really…" Yggy Woods finally understood Waddle Dee's story. "Is that so? I'm sorry, I guess it was early and I got spooked."
"Do you know anything about the Three Mage Sisters?"
"They were here…" Yggy Woods lifted his leafy eyebrows sharply. "They came here to Falluna Moon to collect the pieces of the purple heart."
"They came here too?"
"Yes. Apparently, those heart pieces are scattered all over the galaxy. They tormented this star to get them. Were I younger, those little girls would have left and vic-tree would have been mine." Yggy Woods said with anger. "What they did here made me sick. I'm surprised to hear you defeated them before, I appreciate it though."
"But they came back to kidnap our friend." Waddle Dee was worried.
Yggy Woods said. "Hmm… I don't know if this helps, but…"
"What is it?"
"I remembered one of the three sisters saying something as she left. The blue-haired little girl said, 'Once this mission is over, I want to take a break on a cool star.'"
"Francisca…!" Kirby and the others chimed in.
"Where is this cool star? Did she say anything else?"
"I don't remember, but the coldest place around here is Blizzno Moon."
"Blizzno…"
"It's an ice-covered, frigid asteroid. Sound's like it'd be that little girl's favorite."
"Thank you very much!"
Kirby and his friends were enthusiastic to hear such a strong clue.
Yggy Woods said. "Be careful. Those little girls are formidable, but that's not all."
"…Eh?"
"Above them is someone far, far more scary than they are."
"…Above? Oh, that must be what Jammerjab said. He said the Three Mage Sisters were ordered by someone to collect the heart pieces." He remembered it faintly, but the details were still unclear.
Yggy Woods continued quietly. "They serve an elder of some kind. Those little girls have devoted their lives to him and are willing to sacrifice them too. Any mastermind who has their loyalty must be much stronger and evil than those little girls." Yggy Woods' voice was heavy while Kirby and the others listened in awe.
Burning Leo said in a hurry. "Th-that's not a big deal! If they have a mastermind, we'll just defeat him together! Me and Kirby…"
Burning Leo looked at Kirby. "What happened to that… weird copy ability?"
"Weird? You mean the festival ability?"
"Yeah. Is it gone now?"
"Yeah, that's right. The festival ability is a one-time ability. When the music's over, it disappears!"
"Then you're back to nothing now. That's a problem, if we're going to fight the mastermind behind this. Let's look for some copy ability."
"Oh yeah. Hmm…" Kirby looked around, but couldn't find anything he could copy.
Yggy Woods asked Kirby, who was wandering around. "What are you looking for?"
"Anything that could give me a copy ability!"
Waddle Dee explained. "Kirby can copy a power by inhaling an opponent who has an extraordinary power. Without a copy ability, he can barely fight."
"I see. I might have something that can help you." Yggy Woods raised his voice. "Como! Come on out, Como!"
Then, there was a rattling noise in the nearby grass and a small creature came out. A yellow, round face appeared with three eyes. He was wearing a large, purple-colored hat.
The creature quickly approached, looking up at Yggy Woods, saying, "Hey, why'd you call for me, grandpa?"
"I'm not an old man. I am your elder."
"Yeah, yeah."
"You must have heard their story." Yggy Woods explained to Kirby and the others. "This is Como. He's a spider who hides in the trees and grass and eavesdrops on others."
"Hey hey, grandpa, no need to insult me. I just have a really good ear." Como slyly blinked his three eyes one at a time.
Yggy Woods commanded him. "If you heard their story, you should help them out. Kirby, perhaps you can copy his ability."
"Eh!?" Como was so surprised he almost turned over. "Wa, what are you talking about? You're kidding…"
"It's not a joke. He has a special ability. Why don't you lend your power to Kirby?"
"You mean you want him to inhale me? No!"
Yggy Woods tripped Como while he was trying to run away. "Don't be a fool. Do you remember what the Mage Sisters did to us?"
"Well yeah, of course. They really messed up this star…"
"Then, it's only natural you would help Kirby fight the Three Mage Sisters."
"l… I guess you're right…"
"Kirby wants to help us without any complaints!"
Nodding, Como reluctantly agreed. "…Tch. Alright, I get it. I wouldn't be able to fight the Three Mage Sisters myself anyways. Kirby, you can use my power."
"Yay! Thank you, Como!"
Kirby opened his mouth wide and inhaled Como. As soon as he closed his mouth, a purple-colored hat just like Como's appeared on his head.
Yggy Woods spoke. "This is Como's Spider ability. You can use his thread to make various attacks. Why don't you try it?"
"Yeah, I'll test it out." Kirby put his hand out in front of him.
A white thread popped out of his hand and hit Burning Leo in front of Kirby.
"Woah!?" Burning Leo screamed, but was immediately caught in the white thread.
Waddle Dee said in a hurry. "A cocoon pod… Burning Leo has been wrapped up in a pod!"
Kirby was also surprised upon seeing this. "Wow, that's amazing! This is my first time using it!"
Yggy Woods said. "It's a very useful ability. There are many other uses for it, you should practice it."
"Okay!" When Kirby nodded, the silk pod burst into flames and Burning Leo rolled out from inside.
Burning Leo screamed at Kirby in a hurry. "Why did you do that!? I don't like small, dark places!"
"Sorry, sorry. I was just getting used to the spider copy ability."
Kirby turned to Yggy Woods. "Thank you for everything, Yggy Woods. Let's go, everyone!"
"You're welcome."
After Kirby and his friends jumped on the Warp Star and disappeared into the sky, Yggy Woods muttered something.
Kirby Star Allies: The Universe is in a Big Pinch!? (Chapter 3)
Castle Dedede was in turmoil. The work that the Waddle Dees normally do casually was always overwhelming. The Waddle Dees would bring various troubles to their leader, Bandana Waddle Dee, one after another.
"We've run out of laundry detergent, where do I get more?"
"The great king wants a steak hamburger for dinner. How do I make one?"
"The water supply for the bath has broken! What should I do?"
Usually, Bandana Waddle Dee would give quick instructions and solve these problems immediately. However, Bandana Waddle Dee was acting kind of strange today.
"Well, uh… the hamburger is in the storage shelves… no, I mean the detergent! The water supply of the bath needs minced meat and onions… uh, wait, that's for the hamburger. Ask Chef Kawasaki how to make it!"
He was panicking and sweating up a storm as the problems came one after another.
The Waddle Dees quietly gossiped with each other.
"…What's wrong with Bandana Waddle Dee?"
"Is he sick? He looks strange."
"He sure isn't acting like a leader like he normally does."
Bandana Waddle Dee's behavior was, of course, noticed by King Dedede. The king glanced at Bandana Waddle Dee and prepared a test.
"Come here, Bandana Waddle Dee."
"Y-y-yes! What do you need, your majesty!?"
"I need a snack. Bring me ice cream, tarts, apple pie, pudding, and cream puffs, 30 servings each."
"R-right away! Ice cream and tarts… and… thirty servings!"
King Dedede picked up Bandana Waddle Dee as he tried to run off.
"Waaah! Your majesty, what are you doing!?"
"Something's off. My usual Waddle Dee berates me for snacking so much. He's all 'Oh you'll break your stomach if you eat so much!' or 'Dinner is so soon, there's not time for a snack!'"
"We, we, well, I, uh, it's…!"
"You're a faker aren't you, huh Waddle Dee?"
The Waddle Dee in his hand shook under King Dedede's gaze. "I-I-I'm your Waddle Dee! It's me I swear!"
"You sure look like him, but you don't act like him. Well, faker, I can tell you're not my Waddle Dee. I don't know what you think you're doing here in my castle!"
"I-I-I'm just acting a bit different, that's all!"
"Well, if you're not gonna be honest with me, I'll have to throw you out!"
"No, I'll talk, I'll talk! I'm sorry! I'm not Bandana Waddle Dee, I'm just a regular Waddle Dee!"
"…What did you say?" King Dedede released his hand holding the Waddle Dee.
The Waddle Dee wept and took off the bandana. "I'm so sorry… I… I just borrowed this bandana from the real sir Bandana Waddle Dee…"
"What do you mean? Where'd he go?"
"I don't know. He said he had something to do, so he gave me his bandana and went out…"
"He what!?" King Dedede was furious. "Waddle Dee… you ditched your work to go out and play! I thought you were serious but you're just a slacker!"
"We-, well, I'm sure there's a good reason for it. Bandana Waddle Dee isn't a lazy person…"
"Shut it!" King Dedede roared as he paced the room. "When that slacker gets back, he isn't getting away with this! Waddle Dee… I'm gonna throw him in the store room and leave him there for weeks without meals!"
The raging wrath of the king brought all the nearby Waddle Dees heads to the floor in a bow.
Suddenly, the metallic tapping of shoes approached. The lone swordsman Meta Knight was standing there.
Meta Knight looked around at the Waddle Dees and spoke. "I called out repeatedly, but no Waddle Dee came to greet me, so I came in without permission. It's been a long time, King Dedede."
"Meta Knight…" King Dedede gave a sour face and turned away. "What are you doing here? I don't remember inviting you to dinner."
"I didn't come to eat. My subordinates should have sent you a message. I want you to call for Kirby."
"Oh, that's right!" King Dedede calmed down and sat down on his chair.
"I don't see why I should. I'm not Kirby's liaison."
"I had no choice but to come here to Dreamland because you wouldn't take care of this for me." Meta Knight drew closer to King Dedede. "No matter where I look, I can't find him anywhere. He wasn't at home, he wasn't on the hill taking a nap. I even checked Chef Kawasaki's restaurant."
"Hmm, maybe he went on a hot spring trip?"
"I need Kirby's abilities urgently."
"Find him on your own! This doesn't have anything to do with me…"
"Perhaps Bandana Waddle Dee knows where Kirby is. That's why I asked."
"Bandana Waddle Dee? Hmph, I just fired that guy! He lied to me and ran out… on… wait a minute?" King Dedede suddenly realized and his eyes lifted. "Waddle Dee and Kirby disappeared together…? No way, those guys…"
King Dedede jumped up and stomped on the ground with all his might. "Did they go on a hot spring trip together!? I can't believe this! I'm not messing around!"
"…Good grief. This was a waste of time." Seeing that no information could be obtained from King Dedede, Meta Knight shook his cloak.
The frigid land of Blizzno Moon.
Francisca landed on the frozen ground with a cheerful face. "What a wonderful star, just as I've heard. All stars should be cold like this."
Francisca closed her eyes and breathed the sub-zero air into her chest, smiling. "Refreshing cold air! When you inhale deeply, you can feel it in your lungs. It feels great."
Francisca tried to walk away from the spaceship, but suddenly remembered him and stopped. "Oh right, it's foolish to leave him here alone. He could hijack the ship and run."
Francisca returned to the ship, grabbed Jammerjab and brought him outside. "Keep quiet by my side while I enjoy a vacation on this planet. It is awkward for me to be alone."
Jammerjab was too weak to open his mouth and nodded.
Meanwhile, the Warp Star, carrying Kirby and his friends, rushed through space at a great speed and arrived on Blizzno Moon in no time.
"We're here!" Kirby jumped off the Warp Star and took in a deep breath. "Wow, it's cold! Chilly would love this place."
"H-h-hey…" Burning Leo called out in a dull voice. He crouched and squinted his eyes while shaking. His fiery mane was about to disappear. "Th-th-this… is too cold… I don't want to be here. Let's just go home…"
"But Francisca and Jammerjab might be here. We need to find them as soon as possible."
"The ground is covered with too much ice, isn't it? We can't walk around here."
"Well, I guess you're waiting here then Burning Leo. Waddle Dee and I will go look." With that said, Kirby held hands with Waddle Dee and started running at full speed.
Burning Leo replied in a hurry. "Wait, Kirby! Don't leave me here!" The cold air blew in all directions, but he couldn't help it. "Hey, wait for me! I'm coming too!" Burning Leo chased after them, shouting.
As the evening approached, the temperature was getting colder and the wind was getting stronger. Francisca was completely relaxed and having an elegant time.
