MOMS!! You all know Gentle Ghost, but you might not know Snowy Shimmer, the mother of Snowy Sleuth/Kyoko!
A bit of backstory for her: Born an orphaned colt and transitioning to a mare in young adulthood, Snowy Shimmer was (😬) a Pegasus of incredible grace and wisdom. As an orphan, her friends became her family, and she was a strong advocate for the power friendship could give to the world.
For as graceful and elegant as she was, she was often so lost in thought that she would walk into things or bonk her head while flying. That was how Midnight Mist met her—she crashed right into him, sending both their belongings everywhere. Midnight Mist was so charmed that he asked her on a date right on the spot. She accepted, of course.
The two were inseparable, and Snowy Sleuth was born only two days after their marriage. Midnight Mist left the Royal Family to form The School of Friendship alongside his new wife, believing in her hope for a kinder, wiser future. It was difficult—the project seemed to meet bad luck at every turn, until one day disaster truly struck: a horrible fire engulfed the school. No students were harmed, Midnight Mist and Snowy Sleuth were fine, but Snowy Shimmer was never found no matter how hard Midnight searched. 🥲
