I liked the GO trilogy a lot. This is unpopular enough as it is, but I’ll go even further: GO kept getting better as it progressed.
To be honest, GO1 was my least favourite season in all of Inazuma. It brought back all the problems from the very first season, but it was even worse than it was before considering how much the series had evolved. Not to mention that they had 20 more episodes to develop everything and they didn’t. Sure, we got little bits of pretty much everyone, but we didn’t really get to know anyone fully--except bloody Tenma and the rest of the MAINEST characters. And not even that much. We never knew, idk, why Shindou or Kirino ever started playing soccer, for instance. ...Well, we actually don’t know much about those two at all. The only redeeming quality about GO was Seitei.
However, this was fixed in later installments. Chrono Stone introduced a bunch of new characters and gave them all a background, a reason to be and everything. And Galaxy? Galaxy gave us A FULL NEW TEAM and made sure to give everyone, except maybe Zanakurou, tons of love, backstory, special powers, relationships, etc, and all of this in FEWER episodes than GO or CS. Sure, the last seasons had a lot of sci-fi going on. Who FRIGGING CARES, though? Inazuma has never been realistic! A kid spinning in the air as he creates fire with his feet to shoot? Yeah, y’know, that happens all the time in real life. ww People bitched too much about an issue that didn’t matter at all. Chrono Stone and Galaxy are both amazing and they deserve a million times more love than they got, because their storytelling is fantastic.
Also, Keshins and miximaxes and Souls are fucking awesome. Fight me.
