The last days

You didn’t here a lot of me for the last month. Now my last week at Kiripotib has already started. The gliders all disappeared in the containers and today were picked up by two lorries to be shipped back to Europe. With Andreas, another volunteer, who was there for two weeks to help the gliders, I laughed a lot and we had a lot of fun working together. It was a great time on Kiripotib, where I have experienced a lot and floated in the air with the birds. I would like to thank Hans and Claudia once again, that I was allowed to stay here and made it possible for me to have such a good time. Nevertheless, I am very curious what  expects me at Okambara and what I will experience there.

Die letzten Tage

Ich habe länger nichts von mir hören lassen. Und inzwischen ist auch schon die letzte Woche auf Kiripotib angebrochen. Die Segelflugzeuge sind alle in den Containern verschwunden und wurden heute von zwei LKWs abgeholt um wieder nach Europa verschifft zu werden. Mit Andreas, einem anderen Praktikanten, der für zwei Wochen zum Helfen bei den Fliegern dabei war habe ich viel gelacht und wir hatten viel Spaß bei der Arbeit zusammen. Es war eine tolle Zeit auf Kiripotib, in der ich viel erlebt habe und in luftiger Höhe mit den Vögeln geschwebt bin. Ich möchte Hans und Claudia noch einmal ganz herzlich danken, das sie mich aufgenommen haben und mir hier eine so tolle zeit beschert haben. Nichts desto trotz bin ich sehr gespannt was mich auf Okambara erwartet und was ich dort erleben werde.
