From what Hirato could tell, despite the circumstances surrounding the island, there was still a surprisingly large amount of people inhabiting it. Interesting.
"Ah, please don't mind me. Just taking it upon myself to do some... sight-seeing of sorts."
It seemed like it had taken ages to run from the mirror house to Team 2's territory. Adrenaline has spurred her on thus far, seeing as her half of a blood packet was ever so slowly wearing off as time dragged on. Ayato had Kaneki pinned in some way, and that was all she could think of as each stride became larger in a desperate attempt to shorten her travel time. Every step she took didn't feel fast enough, every step couldn't have been fast enough.

The moment her kakugan enveloped her eyes without her say so was the moment she knew she had failed. She didn't need to even process the lifeless Kaneki before her, nor did she have to guess about whose blood it was the splattered the ground.
Ayato had killed him. He had killed Ken Kaneki. And he was eating him. Right. Before. Her eyes.
A flurry of thoughts, faces, and voices assaulted her mind as the smell of the corpse wafted by her nose. Already blinded by her rampant emotions and two week's worth of stress and utter frustration, Touka's anger became white hot. Without so much as a word and with only an enraged screech for greeting, she lunged for Ayato Kirishima, their familial bonds temporarily (or perhaps permanently) forgotten.

With the bodies piling up once more, the week was stressful enough already. Knowing he was here didn't make it any better. Stiff with a mixture of emotions, none of which she could quite name through her numbed mind, she spoke in a restrained voice.
"Ayato..."
