Maybe it’s from her spending so much time with Solas, but Evelyne has summarized her outlook on blood magic in a simple -- if controversial -- opinion: it’s just another form of magic. In the Dragon Age wiki, there’s a phrase that best sums up her view: “Though it remains an undeniably violent and self-destructive discipline, many see blood magic as the only form of magic that is truly free since it's tied to the physical, not favors to spirits or demons. Some believe it can be used ethically so long as it is not abused or becomes a crutch.”
Nothing is ever simple or one-sided or black and white, and Evelyne is hesitant to condemn or judge someone who uses blood magic. In a way, she wonders if there’s similarities between lyrium usage and blood magic.
It’s the stigma that she thinks makes the view on blood magic so extreme. It’s described as sinister, but according to Calien d'Evaliste: “Perhaps there’s some truth to the idea that the real danger of blood magic isn’t that it draws its power from sacrifice, or that it tempts the greedy and ambitious into using the suffering of others to fuel their spells. Perhaps the danger is simply that we do not understand it, and that lack of understanding invites disaster even when our intentions are pure.”
Basically, she doesn’t think it’s inherently evil, nor does she think that mages who practice blood magic are evil or monstrous. While she doesn't understand it, she doesn’t think that gives people license to demonize it (pun not intended). She trusts people to know their limits, and so if a mage tells her that they can safely use blood magic -- well, who is she to condemn them, or tell them they’re wrong?
