KIRO radio interview with Android Amaker
We joined Sean DeTore of the Mixtape Podcast at Kiro Radio for an interview, and played a new song- listen below
An interview I edited for my former colleague Shawn Stewart for her show It's Raining Cats and Dogs on KIRO Radio. Aired 03-18-2013.
Featuring Annmarie, owner of Colonel Meow.
Our very own Bryce Lathrop had the pleasure of spending a few minutes with Terry Jaymes & Seattle Times' restaurant critic Providence Cicero on Let's Eat on 97.3 KIRO.
GMP Editor Kevin Lincoln on Seattle KIRO Radio
In an interview with the Ron and Don Show’s Rachel Belle, Good Men Project Magazine editor Kevin Lincoln discussed mangagement rings, bromance, and other instances of masculating otherwise ungendered language.
Describing the root of this “bronacular,” as Belle put it, Lincoln said, “It’s led to this sort of insecurity among men where they feel like they need to over-masculate everything to ensure that nobody thinks they’re compromising their masculinity or trending too far in the female direction.”
On whether there are similar words for women doing traditionally manly things: ”The difference is: when a man does something that a woman traditionally does, like get a manicure or a pedicure, you almost try and make it funny and distance yourself from it a little bit. But when women do it, they’ve got to own it, because if they don’t own it, people are gonna get on them about it and there’s more of a chance that she’s gonna be called a lesbian or manly.”
