Malik couldn’t believe he was back here again. The Domino City Museum. Worse yet, he was here to help his sister with an exhibit on artifacts he didn’t think he’d ever have to deal with again.
Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to dig up the Millennium Items? By the time he had heard about them being rediscovered, the items were already placed in hiding. He could only imagine Bakura turning over in his grave. Or wherever the hell Bakura’s soul was...
Malik was initially against the items being put on the display. He almost went as far as to override Isis’s authority. However, the moment he was presented with the sight of the Millennium Rod glistening under the moonlight, Malik felt like he was sucked back into a bad addiction he couldn’t shake. There was nostalgia and a pleasurable warmth that seeped in his blood when he remembered all of the havoc he had wrought with the item.
And then Malik was struck with a crazy idea. Steal two of the Millennium Items. After all, who would automatically suspect the guy who approved of the items to be shown in the place?
So here he was, inspecting the security set up inside of the exhibit and wracking his mind for old Rare Hunter knowledge on thievery. He wasn’t sure if he would even be capable of pulling off the heist on his own, but he’d be damned if he didn’t try something.
Malik’s eyes were soon drawn back over the two Millennium Items that were in front of him. Oddly enough, the Rod was placed in a case next to the Millennium Ring. Both items gleamed brightly under the white lights, tempting him to act on his impulses. Fuck. He subtly shook his head. What was he thinking? He couldn’t steal the Millennium Items! What the fuck would he even do with them when he had them?
Rebury them most likely. This time, in a place much further removed from human contact. Much further beyond the Valley of the Kings.
