Portrait of Geiko Kowaka 小若 from Kisarazu from 2021. Not much is known about the Hanamachi in Kisarazu. Kowaka is a Geiko since 2011 latest. In 2016, Wakaba 若葉 debuted and in 2017, 10 Geiko worked in the city. As you can see in this picture, Kowaka wears an obidome, which is quite unusual for modern Geiko! Outside of Kisarazu, I've only seen Akita and Mukojima Geiko do this, albeit only in few cases.

Library in the Earth. In the Japanese city of Kisarazu, they have a library hidden in the ground and overgrown with bushes and trees. In the small Japanese town of Kisarazu with a population of 200,000, an unprecedented library was created, which is hidden in the ground. The inconspicuous little building looks like something from a fairy tale. It has an entrance in the form of a slope, which opens up into a small square with glass walls, behind which we find shelves with books. The largest room looks like a temple, thanks to the light pipe. Similar ones are used for reading in other parts of the library.
