Nakasendo Way: The Kiso Road by Walk Japan Ltd.
Alone in the Warmth.
This piece captures the feeling of being emotionally adrift—surrounded by beauty, warmth, and colour, yet unable to truly experience any of it. My persona floats in a sea of sorrow, eyes closed not by choice, but by exhaustion. It conveys the kind of loneliness that arises not from being alone, but from feeling unreachable. This is what it feels like when the world continues to glow, and you can't find the strength to rise and meet it.
I'm so excited to share that it's my first time drawing my characters with a colourful background instead of a blank space! I'll admit, backgrounds aren't my strong suit, but I really love how this one turned out! What do you think?

The artist for Kiso's design in KanColle, Ugume, is a Touhou artist and a huge Murasa fan, and there was always a joke on how similar Kiso looked to Murasa. And now lmfao I can really see the resemblance between Murasa's new look and Kiso Kai Ni.
(also note a work he drew back in 2011 where Murasa wears an extremely similar coat to the one in 17.5)
