Katherine, better known as Kit by her friends, is used to fighting for what she wants. Born into a large and poor family, Kit has had to work hard to get to where she is now - the head bartender and assistant manager at the Blue Room. But things haven’t always been as perfect as they seem now. For a couple years, she lived in Sulani, learning more about the culture and training under one of the best mixologists in the business. Those years were probably the best of her life, besides the heartbreak that accompanied it. But hey, she discovered that the occult were real and weren’t just myths, so that was cool! A little unexpected, definitely, but still cool.
Kit has been working towards what she wants in life for years. And what she wants is to have her own bar, a family of her own, and true love. The kind of love that knocks the breath out of you, sends you spinning, never wanting to be apart from them, kind of true love. She thought she had that once, but discovered that maybe it wasn’t as perfect as she thought. But now that she’s gotten over her heartbreak, it’s time to get back in the game. And when she saw the call for Mia and Amelia’s Bachelorette Challenge, it was a no brainer. Kit laid eyes on Amelia’s picture and was immediately head over heels, no questions asked. Beautiful, smart, a businesswoman? Perfect and the complete opposite of her last relationship. So she decided to give it a shot and put in her entry. Hopefully she’ll be able to find love with Amelia and nothing will throw her life out of wack - again.
Kit tends to like things clean and orderly, from her workspace to her life. Entering this challenge is probably the craziest thing she’s ever done, so there’s definitely some anxiety behind her excitement. But she has a feeling Amelia might be worth it.
She’s the middle child of five siblings, but she’s sort of taken on the mantle of oldest. Her older brother was always quiet and was bullied, so she learned young how to fight. The most surprising thing about her is probably her athletic skills - she’s beaten up many a bully for screwing with her family.
As much as she loves her family, she’d much rather have a small family than a big one. Honestly, she’d be fine with not having any kids at all, though she wouldn’t be opposed to having kids. More than three is where she draws the line though.
Was called Kat for the first few years of her life, but decided she didn’t like that nickname and christened herself Kit.
Kit’s all about her appearance - like, to an unhealthy degree sometimes. Because their family was so broke when she was younger, she takes pride in the fact that she’s able to wear nicer clothes and always wants to look her best.
She once tried surfing and crashed so many times that now she refuses to go near the ocean. Which was pretty awkward, considering she was dating a mermaid at the time.
Has a distinguished degree in the Culinary Arts and is super proud about it. She likes to say that she doesn’t brag about it, but nah, she totally brags about it. Mainly because she never thought she’d get the opportunity and then she went past her wildest dreams. So. DISTINGUISHED DEGREE IN THE CULINARY ARTS, BITCHES!
Kit has generalized anxiety, but she’s gotten good at hiding it. When she’s in the middle of a big panic attack, she tends to just completely shut down. No talking, no moving, nothing.
A total introvert. She doesn’t like big crowds of people unless she’s behind the bar. The bar is her safe space, but if she was at the bar and not behind the counter? No way in hell. She’s going home immediately.
Her guilty pleasure is erotica novels. She feels so stupid reading them, but like - hot damn.
Sometimes she really hates how in-control she has to feel. What destroyed her and Aurelia’s relationship is that she felt that Aurelia was out of her control and did whatever she wanted and it really scared Kit. She sometimes wishes she could be as carefree as Aurelia, but she just… can’t.
Lowkey has a thing for tattoos. Wants to get one herself in the future, but like, a small one. Also hates needles, so that contradiction makes tattoos much more difficult.
