‘Kitacon: Quest’

Here’s to the start of a new year! As a tradition with each one I like to make an Art related New Years Resolution. Last year, I took up life drawing to develop my knowledge of anatomy - this year I’ve decided to try and finish more of my pieces (I can hear my future self groaning about all the unfinished pieces I have yet to complete). The inspiration being ‘Finished, not perfect’.

This piece was completed for Kitacon 2017 with the theme ‘Quest’. The mascot never fails to bring me inspiration (see the other Kitacon stuff I’ve done here). I thought I’d break down the various layers to show you guys how I work!
