While the whole country is watching the Olympics-80, strange events are happening in the pioneer camp "Burevestnik" on the Volga. Children mysteriously disappear at night and then return - but not as they were before. Fascinated by youthful freedom and each other, the counselors do not notice how their squads are reviving terrible pioneer legends, and the camp management pretends that everything is alright. The boy Valerka and counselor Igor will have to deal with the mysteries of "Burevestnik". First, they will have to understand whether there is anyone left in the camp who can be trusted.

The Vampires of the Midland

Smolensk is an average city in the middle part of Russia. But not quite. For centuries, it's been home to vampires who (though they allow themselves to hunt humans) still honor the pact that for every kill one of their own must be handed over to the Guardians for an execution. When the bloodless men are found in a birch grove near Smolensk, the peaceful life vampires led is jeopardized. Now the local vampire cell of society under the leadership of the oldest vampire Grandpa Slava, aka Svyatoslav Vernidubovich, will have to find the disturber of the peace in the shortest possible time.
