I painted a lil' mothman on a tiny canvas (acrylic, POSCA, nail polish) 2.5 x 2.5", then used the design to further learn InkStitch and created a 4 x 4" patch (poly thread on stretch denim/old jeans). Stitched out on a Brother SE625.

cobalt moon moon

When I painted Space Opera Whale I mixed several cobalt colors into one pan and named it Cobalt Moon. With teal and purple and greens that all granulate I thought it would be pretty as a wash, but generally it's just a slate blue-grey that I'm now trying to use up.

I wanted to play more with granulating [homemade] gouache; I think it's fun to paint in layers of washes thick pastelized/gouached/base+PW6 alternating with washes to lift up previous layers to break the suspension and create texture when it settles. It's always a bit of a surprise as to how things will lay back down and dry, which is a nice taste of chaos (like working wet-on-wet in transparent watercolors).

I like having this new tool in the toolbox, and it's one more paint (haha I meant point) in the favor of gouache (vs keeping watercolor transparent).

tested some color mixes and ink bleeds on this cougar ootd sketch. I'm gonna keep drawing my sensory-friendly, never-leaving-the-house disabled nonbinary outfits until I feel cute.

Tommie Tiger sketch + VRC avatar

I've been using VR Chat to immerse myself in art for inspiration, but a side effect is that my brain decided it wanted to learn Blender (finally). While learning to retexture a Ghostly feline base avatar I decided to draw it in a sketchbook. I then got carried away with materials testing on the sketch (materials used shown in flatlay).

Concept inspiration is this vintage Napcoware Tommy Tiger bank I've had for a few years. The colors are just so striking! I didn't know I liked green and pink when I bought it, but I used it as evidence of a style theme when I was figuring my style stuff out last year.

it's Jexica! technically two gifs with two frames each (quiet vs talking), drawn in procreate for use in veadotube or discord reactive images. Combined here, with a background for display.

I wanted to see if a different format of swatching/testing would feel soothing and fun, so I drew some lines as a base. I did not end up enjoying it as much as circle blobs/river rocks, and it's trickier to label. I think a lot of this was me deciding if PR209 was worth keeping in my main case. I like the hue when mixed with PW6, but on its own it's gloopy and clumpy in a not fun way.
