It was nearly the end of his shift at the shop, and Manny was sitting in a barber chair, playing around on his phone to pass the time between clients. It was just before the New Year's Eve party, and he had been busy with nearly back-to-back cuts throughout the day. His attention was almost diverted from the game he was playing on his phone when he heard the familiar bells on the shop door ring out. "Hey, we're almost closed" he called out, not bothering to look up.
After a few seconds, Manny sprung up from the chair and made his way around the corner to the entrance of the shop, "Oh, well, look who it is" he smirked as his eyes studied the familiar face, a dumb grin washing over his face as he realized this wasn't just any customer of his. The barber folded his arms across his chest as he tried to think of what to say, "Happy New Year, Toph" he nodded, "You here for a cut or just here to see me?" Manny teased.
