Between tasks, I felt like sketching the unseelie court of Oaxaca, Mexico. From left to right:

Nagual — unseelie Troll, possessor of the arts of Wayfare and Dragon's Ire, owner of a tattoo parlor, and a new friend of the Huaka'i Po Thallain. Knight. Quetzalcoatl — unseelie Sidhe from House Ailil, possessor of the arts of Chronos and Sovereign, advisor to the unseelie baron whose house has long plotted to overthrow House Balor. Traitor. Tiltiki — unseelie Pooka opossum, possessor of the arts of Metamorphosis, Chicanery, and Soothsay, whose Cainite father and his church have caused the city many problems. Jester-prophet.

Behold! Another pair of OCs converted to our World of Darkness canon! We wanted another little bright spot in the gloom, so we have Derrick Kendrick the Gurahl (a werebear!) and Coral, a Wilder-aged Changeling whose true fae form is close to that of a mermaid with legs. Derrick has been blessed by Gaia with fertility, so whatever issues that may arise from a fae and Gurahl's uniting are completely ignored and these two go on to have many healthy and happy kids! They run a quaint seaside cafe with plenty of seafood dishes - some normal, many odd but tasty - and robust coffee. Derrick is the head brewer and Coral is the chef and catcher of all the fish you eat there! They do have a slight Hunter problem, despite causing no issues amongst the town they live in. But if a hater of the Supernatural catches wind of "unholy" unions and "abomination" children, they certainly come a-knocking. Not to worry, mother and father are there to protect the kids!

Cri de coeur: sleeping

I want the state of asleep being my natural state. It is so intoxicating, it fulfills my need for "strange" things when I dream, it makes me feel my body as it is, not as it's guised. In my vivid dreams I dance, and talk to wonderful people, and laugh heartily, and cast cantrips to my heart's content. My hooves are fast there and my horns are prominent.

I long for Arcadia, and only in my dreams I can touch the very edge of it. Sometimes it feels like I'm so lonely in this condition.

Trolls are dreams of honor and duty - their honor is literally their strength. Loyal to a fault and near-stoic as stone, they have been at times bitter rivals and at times staunch allies of the Sidhe. More than anyone, these warriors are guardians of the commoners.

Ok, so, it took me time to gain confidence for creating this blog. I know there are not a lot of Changeling: The Dreaming fans and even less of those who, well, actually find it believable enough to center their entire personality around it, buuut...

In case there are, welcome! This blog is about... me? kind of? because I can certainly say that I identify myself as a 100% real-no-scam-no-lies satyr, though limited by the confines of the ever growing Banality taint. In case you feel the same connection to The Dreaming as I do, or are just curious, feel free to follow!

Just found out there's a special term for my "condition" — it's "otherkin". Well, that label sounds funny and I'm going to use it to see if it fits me. But I am still going to refer to myself as satyr in most cases, using "otherkin" just to explain my current state — being trapped in a human guise.
