Not sure if you’ll see my request but I just had an idea and wanted to see what you would do with it, which is right after the Semi Finals in the Pokemon League where Hop lost to the player, and afterwards he’s in the dressing room by himself but then Leon walks in and tries talking and comforting his younger brother. Just a small idea I had, feel free if you want to use it or not. :)

🍂 It… It’d happened… He lost to Gloria, not even getting the chance to lose to his brother. Cause now he was sure that he would’ve lost if he’d somehow managed to make it that far.

Bede was right. He really can’t battle for beans, and he was going to shame his brother’s name if he tried–

👑 Leon bust through the door, running over to Hop and picking him up in a big hug, not knowing his younger brother’s dilemma.

“Hop, you did great out there bro! I’m so proud of you!”

🍂 Hop paused. Leon was… Proud of him..?

“Lee… Lee, I lost…”

👑 Leon paused, taken aback, before grinning and clapping a hand to his brother’s shoulder. “Does that matter? You gave it your all out there, that’s what counts!”

🍂 Hop sighed, looking off to the side, “I mean… I guess..? I really didn’t do that good, though…”

👑 Leon frowned, sitting down on one of the locker room benches and patting the spot beside him.

“You sound like you need to talk some stuff out, Hop. C'mere.”

🍂 Hop sighed shakily, trying to hold in tears. “Lee I’m just… I’m no good as a trainer... I can’t ever beat Gloria, and... And just by trying I’m ruining your name!”

He couldn’t help it, he was tearing up and shouting with an unsteady voice. The past few days had just been so hard for him.

👑 Leon stayed quiet for a moment, contemplating what he should say. He hadn’t known just how stressful this had all been for his little brother.

“Hop… Hop, do you really think someone who’s no good as a trainer would make it to semi-finals? You got so far! You did so well! I didn’t endorse my baby brother just for the sake of being my baby brother!” He grinned, ruffling Hop’s hair, “And you don’t gotta ruin my rep, Hopster. I can do it on my own!”

🍂 Hop looked up to his brother’s bright and joyful grin and he just couldn’t help it, he started bawling and launched himself into Leon’s chest, clinging to his champion jersey as if his life depended on it. 

Leon... Was proud of him. Sincerely, truly, proud of him. And he was right. He was a great trainer. He is a great trainer.
