Day 1: Write a short post about how you got into witchcraft
I got into witchcraft when I was in middle school/high school, it was the summer. My friend had some Silver Ravenwolf, Cunnigham, and a few other books she let me read through. I started my own grimoire which was mainly color associations, and herb stuff. Then I did one spell, and really enjoyed it. When my Aunt found out, she was a SUUUUPER CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN, she ripped my grimoire up, yelled at me, and made fun of my beliefs that weren't even fully fleshed out, then she took me to the pastor of our church.
Needless to say I kept it as in-the-closet as I could, and played the "I'm a perfect Christian who never ever thought of witches card" until I was in college. My roomate in Community College (yeah, my parents basically said, you're 18, bye bye to me, and even though it was in the same town had me move into a dorm and waste money) was pagan. We had similiar backstories, so it was a really good pairing, but neither of us cared for the dorm. It was as restrictive as living at home.
I never really gave it much thought until the past 3 1/2 years, and I've been pagan fully ever since. I never fit into a Christian mold, and I followed my heart into pagan ideas, along the way, I figured out I had been doing witchcraft a good bit of my life.
