The adventures of Kitty continue! (Part 1, Protection is here.)
It would go to Minrathous and get a fish. There were fish in Minrathous.
It tucked itself into a box in an dingy alley, damp and bedraggled. There were fish in Minrathous, but people did not want Kitty to have them. They were not nice people like Hal. They threw water on Kitty and told it to shoo. It was all very unfair.
Its ears perked up. Spite? Was that Spite near? It followed the sound around the corner to see a purple wings flare wide. It was Spite!
“The Crows send their regards,” growled Spite’s host, and Kitty watched as the body of one of those very annoying Venatori fell to the ground slightly later. It had been neatly done. Kitty greatly approved.
“Spite,” said Kitty, speaking so that only he could hear. “I need your help. I need to get a fish to cook for my Lavellan.”
“Lucanis,” said Spite to his host. “A fish. We need. To get. A Fish.”
“Mierda,” sighed Spite’s host. “Why would we need to get a fish, Spite?”
“To help,” answered Spite. “A friend. Who needs. A Fish. To Cook. Now!”
Spite’s host wiped a small trickle of blood from his nose.
“Fine, fine,” he said. “Minrathous is no Antiva, but we will find something. Does your friend have any preferences as to fish?”
“What fish?” asked Spite.
Kitty considered this, daintily stepping away from the spreading pool of blood.
“A tasty fish,” Kitty declared.
“Lucanis,” Spite said. “Tasty fish.”
“Mierda,” said Lucanis, sheathing his rapier and heading off toward the docks. “Well, the sea bass should be good this time of year. And perhaps I can purchase a few more things to cook something special tonight for Neve…”
And an open tag, but throwing out some tags to fans of Kitty. @vhen-harel, @taschaka-blog, @dirthera15, @ashillayn.
