In all honesty I've learned 90% of humanity are comprised of horrid personalities and purely selfish people and those of us that aren't get made fun of because we accomplish things that are hard for us and a literal no brainer for that 90%. And by that i mean that 90% do not have brains. Just pure bone mass in their skulls. In my personal experience if they leave no room for you, don't leave any for them. I nod and play along but in my head I'm with those who care
I know that a lot people are awful and the person this is about is definitely one of them, but I still have to deal with him on a daily basis because he’s my dad and I’m still dependent on him. I can’t just ignore him most of the time because he invades my space and thinks that every aspect of my life is his business and that he needs to criticize everything I do so I can function like a normal person. Literally every time I have a depressive episode I have to explain my entire psychological history to him just for him to have any kind of sympathy and let me be. I wish I could ignore him but I can’t. I also can’t completely hate him and not be affected by his behavior because he is my dad and he does care about me. He just doesn’t understand that not everyone can function at 200% all the time like he can. He tries to care but has no other approach other than pressuring me to do things beyond my limit until I burn out. He sees that the pressure gets me to do things and doesn’t realize that it’s not sustainable and it’s counterproductive to my recovery. I’ve tried explaining all this to him but he just says shit like “That’s life you have to learn to push yourself.” as if me not killing myself isn’t me doing my best.
So yeah he may be incapable of sympathy or valuing the emotions of others but it’s not because he doesn’t care at all. It’s because he can’t understand anyone who isn’t him and then he tries to force other people to be him. So I can’t ignore him or not care at all. I just can’t although I wish I could.
niggas be thinkin I give a shit about ya straight people hating ass lmao
Demon mewed, it was weird magic, but he didn't mind. He started wriggling excitedly when he saw and smelled the fish. He licked the side of Cracky's face excitedly.
“You silly kitty,” Cracky said, giggling. He sat down, putting Demon down in front of him. “Can you eat it like that? Is it okay?”
Demon mewed happily and wagged his tail. Cracky had guessed right! He nuzzled Cracky's neck and purred. Now all he needed was fish.
“Oh! Demon!” His eyes went wide. “Did those weird magic people turn you into a kitten?” Cracky continued walking, scratching behind his ears. “They’re really strange, aren’t they?” The fish was just in sight. It was fresh too! “Hey, we’re here~!”
Demon pawed at Cracky and tried to get Cracky to look into his eyes. Maybe then Cracky would know.
“Hmmm? What’s up?” He asked, blinking down at him. Maybe he was supposed to guess and the kitten would tell him if he was right. “Um, okay! Let’s see….” He tried to think of a name….huh, maybe the kitten was one of his friends? “Demon?” Cracky tried, which was one of the first names to come to mind.
Demon meowed, he didn't mind what he'd get, as long as it was something yummy!
“I’ll get you some fish.” Cracky said, nodding his head. He started walking to where he had the food, being careful with the kitten in his arms. “Do you have a name?”
