do you remember when you first thought "damn, i wanna get good at art"? if so tell me about the first drawing you did with that idea in mind!

!!! I actually do! It was when I was around 12 and I started playing Neopets more regularly. I started looking for fan sites to get tips for the games and stumbled upon the website of a fan artist called Suta-Raito. I was marveled by how beautiful her Neopets and Pokémon fanart was (she’s still an active artist btw! She’s here on Tumblr as Kuitsuku) and, upon learning that she used a tablet to make art straight on her computer (prior to that I’ve only ever drawn on paper), I begged my dad to get me a tablet for Christmas so I could start drawing on my computer too. That was the very beginning of me getting into digital art.

I don’t really remember the first digital drawing I’ve made (it was probably Neopets or the Fairly Odd Parents fanart) but I do remember that not that long after I started practicing with it, a drawing I made made it into the Neopets drawing contest gallery and I was so, so proud!

tell me about your first set of dice!

Oh! That’s actually kind of a fun story! I was...god eleven or twelve, and my dad had recently found the rest of his D&D 2e books. I was super interested in playing a game, and my brother and sister were at least okay with the idea, and we realized that we had....no dice.

The first place we looked was my grandma’s house, hoping to find some of my dad’s lost sets. We managed to find one (1) d4 and one (1) d8, both of which I still have to this day! Obviously you can’t really play a game with those two dice alone, so we started the long journey around town to every local hobby shop in the search of a set we could actually use.

After going to like...three other stores, only to be disappointed, we ended up in a little bookshop (that has since closed down, and I’ll be sad about that forever because it was a good little place) that happened to sell a couple sets of dice in addition to rulebooks and whatnot. Dad ended up buying one set of dice (they’re a rainbow of solid colors, if you want a picture just let me know) with the justification that we could share, and that he didn’t want to buy a bunch of dice if none of us ended up liking the game.

The game itself was fine! I don’t remember a whole lot of it, beyond the fact that we had silly character names like Mac N Cheese and that my brother managed to die before we even got into the dungeon. Tragically, I was the only one who really took to the games, so we didn’t play again after that.

tuve el aro en la lengua pero me lo saque, tengo un piercing en la nariz (septum) y estos tatuajes en la espalda (logo de uno de los discos de my chemical romance con dos rosas) y en el antebrazo izquierdo (una mascara de gas que diseñe. Funfact: La version digital esta ahí decorando mi blog)
