Flashback to nursing Hobbes. It was a long journey with a lot of ugly medications.
Such a tiny little guy that refused to give up!
Now he is too smart, to active, to pushy, and still too cute! 🥰

Flashback to nursing Hobbes. It was a long journey with a lot of ugly medications.
Such a tiny little guy that refused to give up!

The boopsey twins are posing again! 😺😺🫶 Sammy & Quinn.
Trouble is displeased!!😒 This is the look I get when I stop massaging the little urchin for a minute for a sip of water! 🤣

Izzy sharing my salmon😻
Quinn after dinner rest! 🧆🥱
There has been little joy in the kittypatch for the past few weeks! All 6 of the inside cats had to go to the vet for their check-ups the last few weeks.
Izzy is borderline on needing thyroid meds needs recheck bloodwork in 6 months and got her Rabies shot $300. All else good!
Sammy, Quinn and Lily went as a team. All got their shots and both Quinn and Sammy passed their physicals with flying colors. Lily however has a Urinary Tract infection and needs a dental.. So added bloodwork for dental surgery was necessary. Everybody got their shots and lily also got an antibiotic shot. $850.
Trouble and Hobbes went last Tuesday. Bloodwork was great. Shots for both. Trouble needs a dental so added bloodwork for surgery, result was was fine. $600.
Dental surgery is scheduled for Lily and Trouble on July 6th. Estimated cost $2800.
Then last Thursday George had a very hot lump on his front leg, which explained why he was not interested in eating breakfast and was sprawled by the back door with his 3rd lid half closed. So we were off to the vet after lunch. Abscess on his leg, looked like a puncture wound from who knows what! So numbing site, tranquilize cat, incise the abscess and drain, antibiotic shot, rabies shot, and anti-inflammatory meds to take home. Bad news is he tested FIV positive. $390. Looking for a home for him so he can be an inside kitty. Till then I am leaving my kitchen door to garage open and baracaded so he gets A/C ( 95F degrees here with 66% humidity) in the garage and it drops the temp to a reasonable level. That will be another big expense when the electric bill comes. 😵💫
Add to that, my lawn care guy has not shown up in 2 months. Now have a huge clean-up issue before returning to regular maintenance. I have contacted 12 companies in that time, and all are at capacity and not taking new clients. The clock is ticking and the cost increases by the week. Two companies coming this week to give estimates. I am holding my breath! 🫣😬
And the final blow, the guys doing paver maintenance did a really bad job and are now redoing it. Yesterday they left me with this mess and no access to feeding stations. So I was moving outdoor furniture so I could feed last night! At my age, with my knees, that is a really big issue. Last night it took serious drugs to get anywhere near being able to sleep.
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 FINGERS CROSSED, this all slows down shortly! I am still working to get 3 outside ferals trapped to get them to the vet. I'm really missing Mr. Kittypatch 😞😟🥺😠😔.
It’s a bitch doing it all alone!
Okay, no more whining!
