Yagen Toushirou Kiwame sketch (3h)

I wanted to debut my new sketchbook with a full size drawing of my favorite TKRB character, my son and my joy, Yagen. Don't ask me about what's going on in the background because I just did sum bullllllshitt.

I've been moving back to traditional art for a while because Procreate is just not working for me anymore. I tried troubleshooting it as much as I could but I lost all my pressure control that used to produce my usual, soft blending style. My traditonal style is very rough, but hey, I've improved my digital art in 3 years, maybe in another 3 I can touch up my traditional.

I want to experiment some more, even with adding color, but not in this sketchbook. The pages are way too thin.

So, Jiroutachi's kiwame has always bothered me, because it feels like it stripped away the kabuki-inspiration and went for "aniki's assistant". He does NOT suit the priest look, I'm so sorry. And the artist i blatantly stole my Jirou-drawing style from, designed THIS outfit for Kiwame Jiroutachi, like... a million years ago, and abandoned it in a sketch-log . Which I am forever sad about. (It's number 41 in the sketch-log) (View at the artist's pixiv with caution though, it's a LOT of R18. This specific one isn't marked as R18 but it has some nudity still. Also they stopped drawing Ranbu completely and moved onto shota :'^) But I still adore their Jiroutachi <3)

Updates to calculator

hi everyone! I updated a simple kiwame level calculator (link) I wrote a while back.

It lets you calculate the level kiwame your sword will return as after training based on either

1) its current unkiwamed level + (optional) remaining exp until next level or

2) its current cumulative exp amount.

Option 2 is now available thanks to the changes where swords can store extra exp even when maxed, and the recent UI change that lets you see how much exp they have, so I thought I’d finally give it a good ol’ update. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
