Three generations of wild hedgehogs have called my garden their home. I recommend to make a hedgehog hideout/hibernation shelter so that they will also stick around next year to help with the snails and slugs.

The thought of making a little hedgehog house had occurred to me - I’ve seen designed floating around out there for how to do it (and how to cat-proof them) - but I’m not sure I currently possess the means, in these times of plague. But if I get more substantial evidence of hedgehog visitation, maybe I could sub-contract the job out to my dad as a lockdown project...
