my!! Rain World OCs!! Whispers of the Lost Star (WotLS) and the slugcat the Renegade. yes one is inspired by an owl and the other inspired by a magpie. my obsession with birds is endless.

They're both connected (like, part of the same campaign), and their lore... I shall keep is a little surprise. just know that WotLS is an old man who thinks that Ascension for Iterators is meaningless because Iterators never have "truly lived". and Renegade... exists. Like its name indicate, it's a slugcat that lives alone and left the colony it lived in. So now it's just minding its business and surviving alone, while being very aggressive to other slugcats. and it loves to collect pearls, a habit it got from its only friend, Jay, a scavenger. yay!

I promise it's related to Rain World- those are icons for my Iterator OCs!!! in order, Come Forth to the Sky, Whispers of the Lost Star, and Feathers of the Soul. you can see the three birds that inspired them; so golden eagle, barn owl, and grey crowned crane. i wanted to do this for their toyhouses rather than boring headshots.

ALSO ermm. small changes in my characters.... if you care...

I changed the city's names for some of them: Whispers's city, previously Tyto, will be named Noctua Soul's city, previously Baelerid, will be named Grus Melodies' city, previously Menura, will be named Lyra

this way... ALL of their cities are named after constellations!

Aquila (Eagle constellation) Noctua (Owl constellation) Grus (Crane constellation) Lyra (Lyre constellation) Pavo (Peacock constellation) Columba (Dove constellation)

we do love some symbolism and consistency. also yes, the constellation Noctua is no longer recognized. funny meta thing I guess, considering what happens to Whispers

AND, also: i will redesign the third gen Iterators (so Melodies, For-Not and Divine) because i really don't like their current designs. i wont do it now, because i am still storming ideas. i am the most inspired for Melodies, tho, i just need to find a way to execute it.

ANYWAY ermmm stay turned im developing these guys they won't be random background characters!! yay!!

also im working on their TH pages bc i can. and its looking good i think (not my code!! it was made by MyUniverseinaBox on toyhouse!!)

hello yes. look at my beautiful queen I hate her lovingly <3 I don't think I've put this much effort in a piece for a while?? feels good to paint again. well. no. it doesnt feel good. my hand hurts. also what was wrong with me why did I design this coat for her also featuring Bird (tm) aka a Golden eagle because that's the bird she takes inspiration from!!

if i feel like going insane, I will draw all the other Ad Astra iterators in this style, so with their birds behind them. and i do feel like going insane so stay turned

I finally finished the reference for ALL of my Iterator OCs!! WOO-HOO!! So quick thing about them: they're all part of the same Local Group, called "Ad Astra". the order they are presented in is the order in which they have been put in service (the last two were put in service at the same time, hence why they're "twins"). Also, they're all inspired by birds! The name of their cities is the name of the genus of bird they're inspired by (even tho they are inspired by one specific species from this genus). I won't say which bird, cause I think it would be funnier to play a game of "guess which bird they're taking inspiration from". it should be RELATIVELY easy with the genus name tho. but if you can guess without checking all the species in the genus, that would be very strong. also because I want to know if I did a good job at the designs eheh

Anyway, they're all part of a "hypothetical" campaign I made around my slugcat OC Renegade, even though only Whispers and Come Forth are really important. The other ones will mostly be mentioned in pearls or broadcasts.

And speaking of which, I might write a fanfic on AO3 around these OCs, more like a collection of small writing, like pearl contents or conversations, to drop some lore around... idk... just for fun...
