how to differentiate a Kiwi from a Lemon
(From Zhu Li)
“ When was your last day off...? You never signed up for this 24/7 insanity. I don't want to see you here for three days at least... and yes, that's an order. ”
Bolin snapped to attention immediately; his nose was previously buried in a pile of various documents that needed to be sorted so that the President could review in anticipation for one of her many meetings, one that he was pretty sure was happening next week. Sometimes it was hard to tell what day it was when things started to blend together...
"Huh? Wha- Uh- Oh! Um..." He pursed his lips and wrinkled his brow in thought while he shuffled the papers in his fluster. Truly, everything felt like a blur as things in City Hall never slowed down. "I... I don't know?" he answered truthfully.
He was never one to question Zhu Li as he was more than well aware of what she was capable of, even before she ran for office (granted, she had to be as the personal assistant to Varrick's unpredictable ways). Honestly, he was surprised — but honored — he was even considered for the role of being President Moon's secretary, given his very strange and varied resumé. While he wanted to help the best he could, he mostly had a vague idea of what kind of workload that even entailed when he accepted the job. If anything, he did know that the President's job didn't call for weekends, so he figured his weren't guaranteed as well.
However, his brows flicked up in surprise as she issued his time off as an order. "Uh, yessir! I mean, ma'am!" he quickly corrected himself. "Actually, Opal and I were talking about traveling a bit... so, if it's all right, maybe I can take off for a little longer than three days? If that's okay? Uh, I mean, we haven't made solid plans of what that trip's gonna look like, so we're gonna take a bit to do that and then I can probably take off after also settling things here, I think."
He paused, feeling like his next question was silly to even ask. "Will you be okay with that? Like holding the fort down and everything?" Again, he was well aware of what President Moon was capable of and she was the one who offered ordered him to take a break.

ㅤㅤ❝𝓙uicy's okay... he's just having a bad day.❞ Opal assured the other person. Having a sky bison with a horrible sinus problem didn't really have any perks. The big lug was leaky, stinky and slower than other sky bison- but she loved and cared for him deeply. Of course, she had to warm up to him at first. Nonetheless, she could only make him comfortable until his sinuses cleared a bit more. ❝I would just stay away from his nose- or face. Unless you want to be covered in snot...Trust me, it's not fun.❞

"are you falling asleep?" she would question him before leaning her head down to press her snout against his cheek.

There were plenty of people around, but the green haired boy was clearly looking for someone specific. Eyes darted all over the place, left, then right, he was turning every which way. A heavy sigh finally escaped his mouth.
“Probably not here yet…” He muttered, shaking his head. His eyes then fell on the stranger. He approached cautiously, but with a smile on his face nonetheless. “Are you a trainer? I’m waiting for someone, but they’re late, and I might even be a bit early.”
A pause. “I’ve got some time to kill. We could, um… train? If you’re not too busy.”
