3. memory from childhood - I was 3 and sitting in a red/blue/yellow high chair (think the Kiddie Pattern from Animal Crossing). It wasn’t anything special. It was meal time, and like the first time I felt I was aware of stuff going on around me?
5. crush - Haha I can recognize now that he was an asshole and he went to West Point on a full ride. I tried friending him on Facebook in High School and he never accepted my friend request
7. time traveling out of my own city/state/country - I went to Canada when I was in Elementary! We went for like 3 days and got to see the falls from the Canadian side! It was back when you only needed your birth certificate to cross the border
9. celebrity crush - Ahh, this is tough… Probably Matthew Gray Gubler…
11. experience with failure - Ahhh, I’d have to say it was a recurring thing during High School when I was never cast in a leading/major role in the theatre productions. I felt so disappointed in myself and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t cast when there were literally kids who were saying “I didn’t even audition but I got a singing/speaking role” and I was stuck in the ensemble.
13. date - Okay so I never had a boyfriend until I was 18, but my senior year of High School I went to the Valentine’s Dance with this guy from my grade and like it was sorta a date, I guess? He did drugs and that and it was funny because my mom when she knew I was going to the dance with him was asking me all these things about him and was just like “I just want to make sure he’s not a bad kid/does drugs” so I never told her that
15. enemy/rival at something - Enemy/Rival implies they recognize me as such so I’ll go with people I just really fucking hate and one was this girl in my class in high school who was literally the Queen Bee. Like, she said our class colors couldn’t be red and white or red and black because she hated the color red (which was actually one of our SCHOOL COLORS)
17. time drinking/smoking/doing drugs - On my 21st birthday was when I first drank alcohol because I was a Good Girl
19. breakup - Hasn’t occurred and hopefully won’t occur lol
21. award or achievement I got - I was in Odyssey of the Mind so probably when we got third place/got 1st place 4 years in a row in the District competition bUT The first that I was actually super proud of was when I won first place in a Literary Competition for a Short Story that I wrote.
23. time I fell in love - Again, I’d have to say that it was the guy who I had my first crush on, but coincidentally I got bullied a lot in High School, and this was one thing I got bullied for too so it sucks
25. car - Um, I guess it’s the car I’m still driving now? Technically, it’s not *my* car, it’s my mom’s old one, but it’s the one I use.
27. pet - He was a black cat named Onyx (that my dad wanted to name Barack, after the late 44th president). Adopted him November 2010, he ran away a few months later because my mom wanted to turn him and Jazz into outdoor cats. She let him out and he never came back. She would not get me a new cat. She then said that she would get me a new cat after I graduated college, and then later changed it to she would get me a new cat after I got my own apartment. I am hoping that the fact my boyfriend has two cats won’t stop her from keeping good on that promise.
29. time I got in serious trouble for something - I skipped basketball practice in the 9th grade once because I wanted to see what would happen/I had trouble breathing during practice and got reamed out so bad by the coach I wound up quitting. I joined the team again in 10th grade but my experience was so shitty I never rejoined the team.
31. experience with death - My grandfather died in February of 2013, and that was the first time someone close to me died…
33. house I lived in - I still live in the first house I lived in lol…
35. time I discovered something important about myself - Umm, I guess when I started writing Fanfiction and discovered that I really like writing
37. time I was betrayed by someone - In Elementary school I was the kid no one liked, so kids all the time would pretend to be my friend just to get back at their real friends who they weren’t getting along with at the time.
39. sports team I was on - When I was in Kindergarten I was in cheerleading. I was supposed to be on the PowderPuff team, but because my sister was in cheerleading too they put me with the older kids so practices would be easier on my mom.
41. thing I wanted to be when I grew up - A teacher, which is the goal still one day - to teach at the college level, eventually.
43. school - When I was four, my elementary school didn’t have pre-school, so my parents sent me to this school where literally the only thing I remember about it was learning to use the computer (and mind you, this was back in 1999/2000)
45. play/musical I went to - Idk if this counts, but my high school did Lion King when I was in like, Kindergarten or First Grade and they showed it to the whole school. Otherwise, probably when I saw Mamma Mia at the Community Arts Center…
47. time being on stage - My Elementary School when I was in 5th Grade did a Lewis and Clark Musical with the 5th Grade Chorus. I remember getting shit from the other girls because they didn’t like my costume (it was handmade by my mother). I also remember being upset because I didn’t get an opportunity to “audition” for a solo role. The Choir Director randomly picked girls to audition and gave the part away.

Hermione was the first one that popped into my head tbh. It’s such a pretty name that even if it wasn’t Harry Potter associated 10/10 would name a child that.

The Mortal Instruments, to be honest, because that’s what I’ve been reblogging from/creating content for most often in recent days. Close second would be the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series though.

1. Describe yourself how you would describe a character you’re introducing
You see one of your followers reblog a popular post on your dash. Looking at the op’s name, you see their screen name is kixaxstyx. Ugh. What a stupid name, you think to yourself, but you really know you have no room to judge, looking at your own screen name.
Still, you identify with the post, and realize that this user has a point. You decide to check out their blog, clicking it open in a new tab. Their theme is pretty cool, and you wonder if they have a selfie-tag. You type in the generic tag of #selfie, and then #selfies when that doesn’t give you results. Apparently they’re too cool for selfies, or just not into posting selfies. Whatever. It’s not that important to you.
You look to the sidebar of their blog and see stuff that link to writing accounts. You click the top one that reads “Kix’s Writing” and it redirects you to their blog with the tag of #kix’s writing. It’s filled with fanfiction and snippets. Still the third-person reference makes you wonder if that’s how they tag their selfies.
You type #kix’s selfies into the address bar, and are greeted with success. You are presented with a glimpse of the blogger behind the url, someone you’re presuming is a female (god, why don’t they put their preferred pronouns in their about?) who has long hair and is wearing what looks to be either a tubetop or a sleeveless dress in a picture with the caption: Phi Sigma Iota dinner tonight, with the lovely@methodoflogicalmadness as my date! You astoundingly do not care, seeing as you don’t know what Phi Sigma Iota even is.
You scroll down, looking next at a picture of the blogger with wavy hair, and then in a Christmas sweater (when it’s January, seriously are they one of those people?). You notice through some of the pictures that the blogger has an overbite they’re trying to hide, and get bored relatively quickly. Isn’t there anything problematic about this person?
You return to the homepage, wondering if you should follow them. It doesn’t look like they have any of your preferred content on their blog, but maybe. When you get to the homepage, you see an ask they’ve just answered. It was probably for one of the ask memes people always reblog, and you start to scroll through the answers. You stop immediately when you see that the first question isn’t answered. Laughing, you exit out of the tab, not interested in following.
God, you think to yourself. What an idiot.
3. What is your absolute favorite kind of fic to write?
I love writing fics about first meetings - both for relationships and in general! Just One Date, Bewitching Bouquets, Check Me Out, and Palmistry and Tarot Cards are some of my favorite Malec (Shadowhunters/The Mortal Instruments) first meeting stories I’ve written, I have Drunk on Love, which is a Chendy (Fairy Tail) first meeting, Red is a gen DGM first meeting/manga AU, and Incompetence is a YosanoxRanpo 5+1 fic that has a section for a quick first meeting for them!
I also have Preliminary Examinations that is in progress, which is my first Voltron fic, and that’s going to be a first meeting fic for all of the paladins!
(no lie I probably have like 20 fics between my fanfic and ao3 accounts that are first meetings between characters)
5. How many words can you write if you sit down and concentrate intensely for an hour?
Ahh, this is a good question! If I sit down and didn’t let myself get distracted and I had the proper inspiration and motivation, I could probably get at least 1k+ written if not a bit more!

Ah, I’d have to go with inspiration and time, because if I’m inspired and I have time I always scrounge up a little motivation to at least write a summary of what I want to write whenever I actually do have a decent amount of motivation.
9. Do you ever have plans to write anything other than fic?
Yeah! I plan on seriously attempting NaNoWriMo this month with an original work and I’m planning on posting something for a poll to see if anyone wants to see one of the works in particular. I’m going to try and post it on Ao3 if I manage to get it finished.
11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?
I honestly don’t know? Ahh, maybe Seven Minutes of Olympian Heaven? It was a Helen BlackthornxClary Fray piece I wrote during the Olympics, which I think might be weird because a) 7 minutes in Heaven, and b) an extreme rarepair that most likely no one ships? Idk I can’t think of anything right now

Ahh, I have so many favorites…
Your Body is a Weapon by @tastewithouttalent is spectacular - it’s a DurararaxSoul Eater crossover and I love it (all of their works are spectacular no lie)
A Cheap Imitation by spoontasti is a chilling Durarara fic themed from the Saw movies
If you like Trans!Izaya or just love Izaya @izanyas is spectacular with writing, and some of my faves are Some Required Effort and Manageable and Alongside (the hot single Dad Shizuo AU that nobody knew they wanted but did) and just. go follow @izanyas because the writing is on point

15. Your guilty writing pleasure?
Definitely hurt/comfort fics. Like, I love first meeting fics, but I also love writing/reading hurt/comfort fics where one character is sick/hurt and another character/a group of characters take care of/help character one - especially when character one is the type of character who doesn’t normally get taken care of like they are in that situation.
17. Would you describe yourself as a fast writer?
Yes and no lol, if I’m super motivated I can get something written real fast - Bewitching Bouquets is 8k and I wrote that in 4 days, similar with Eating Habits, which is around 10k written over a similar time frame (EH was posted as multi-chapter, posted across about a week time frame while BB was posted all at once)
But at the same time if I’m not motivated or lose motivation it takes me forever to finish something. Stitches which I just posted for Bungou Stray Dogs I started back in July, and just finished like last week and it’s 1.5k, and Lily and the Necromancer, which is nearly 30k took me nearly a year to finish, and it took me that long because I kept losing motivation and had to motivate myself to finish it.
19. Why did you start writing?
I started writing because I discovered Fanfiction.net back in 2006 - my sister had been on it and I got interested - and I started reading some fanfics. After reading some, I thought “Hey, I can do that!” as well as “Hey, I can write better than some of these idiots!” and started writing. Was I better than some of those idiots? Some, but I also was one of those idiots too because I was a 12 year old writing so I didn’t have as much experience. By the time 2 years had passed though, I was writing better than a group of college students that had a Fanfic account and they were the ones asking me for writing advice - an eighth grader! Being asked for help by college students! Talk about a confidence booster!
Simply put, I started writing because of reading fanfiction, and because I thought I was better than some writers and wanted to prove it. And here I am, still writing, proving that not only am I a good writer, but I am better than some writers. (Which, of course, is all relative! There will always be someone better than you or I, and just because I’m a better writer than someone else in one fandom/genre doesn’t mean that they don’t beat me in a different fandom/genre!)
Hey I saw your post about asexual characters in the media, there needs to be so many more and not just the 'implied' type ya know? There's virtually zero and its shitty as fuck. there's Voodoo from the show sirens and she's asexual and its canonically confirmed! The shows really good and definitely worth a watch

Ahhh, this is difficult… Oh, I got it! The movie Aquamarine (and The Thirteenth Year)! Both are mermaid movies.
Aquamarine is about two best friends who are about to be separated, because the one’s family is about to move all the way to I think Australia. The one night before they move a huge storm hits and a mermaid gets trapped in the pool. The majority of the movie is the two girls helping the mermaid because she says that if the girls help her she’ll grant them a wish.
The Thirteenth Year is about a teenager who is a merman. His mother dropped him in a fishing net hanging off a boat in order to hide him while she got rid of a fisherman who was pursuing her, and then he was adopted by the couple who owned the boat because they found him before his mom came back. This was a really good one. I think it was a Disney Channel original, because I remember it being on Disney Channel way back.

Ahhh, I’m in so many fandoms… The two that I know of are this classic piece (warning, it’s really really really bad and written by like 12 yo me) that I added to the Naruto fandom when I first started writing/posting on public places in ‘07, and this art piece I gave to the Hetalia/HetaOni fandom back in ‘12 when it was cool to put Nigel Thornberry’s face on things.
F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom
I think the bigger question is do we ever leave a fandom? I’ve been into Sailor Moon since first grade, I think, around ‘00/’01, so technically about fifteen years, I guess? Even tho I don’t really produce content for it lol I still have to watch the reboot, I’ve only seen one ep so far..

I know so many people from so many fandoms… For Durarara, @izanyas and @a-dargo have really good Shizaya fics and they’re really good writers…

To stick with the Durarara theme, Egor tries his best. He just does what he’s told and he still manages to scrape the bottom of the barrel with luck, poor guy. Still keeps a positive attitude despite that!
