When an ancient Sith mask is stolen from the heart of the Temple, Agen Kolar and the 501st are dispatched to recover it. The matter is nowhere near as simple as it first seems, however, and one charming thief manages to set in motion events that were set up millennia ago. In the midst of it all, Agen has to try to manage a mental link to a powerful Force adept, the growth of a new Sith Order, and a Separatist conflict that's spinning out of control.
Nothing is easy, nothing is quite as it seems, and the ghosts of the past are never quite as gone as one would like.
