We should never forget our past. It has a purpose to our lives. Fond memories, lessons of life....but there is a difference between remembering our past and being stuck in it. Your past can either hold you back like the anchor of a boat or move you forward like a sail with the latter as the optimal choice.
Who doesn’t want to move forward right? I think it’s safe to say that‘s the goal for most of us....to not only move forward but in a positive way. No matter how hard you try, yesterday, last year, or 10 years ago will never come back around twice. I don’t care how many times you click your heels or twitch your nose, in the real world it just doesn’t happen. So what choice do you have? Well, you have a lot of Choices. That’s the beauty of the future. It hasn’t happened yet so you have the ability to create whatever masterpiece you would like still.
Our pasts are the foundation of who we WERE and should always hold a certain level of importance in our lives but it’s our present and our future that determine who we truly ARE and WILL BECOME. The wind of time is waiting to take the sailboat of your life wherever you would like to go but before you can ever move forward at all, you’ll need to bring up the anchor that’s holding you still. It is only then that your Journey through life will become Weightless and Limitless.
