“Roller Coaster Love” Enhanced Photography Artwork

This beautiful landscape scene with the roller coaster is from my time in Wildwood, New Jersey, USA.  There aren’t many beach towns that have a roller coaster for amusement so this truly is something special.

I’ve always loved roller coasters but I will say that my body’s tolerance for them has grown weaker as I’ve gotten older.  I can’t ride them as fanatically as I used to which makes the experience, when I do get to ride one, that much more savory.

To this day, roller coasters are still the icons of any amusement park with boundaries always being pushed to see how great of an architectural and extreme thrill we can create with them.

I love how the landscape here leads up to the roller coaster and as it combines with the clouds within the skyline above the coaster,  both come together to create a wonderful calming presence for the artwork.  This, in turn, brings forth a wonderful irony for the artwork because I don’t think any of us would ever associate the word calm with roller coasters but that‘s all part of the allure of them.  That excitement they bring to us is exactly why we LOVE Roller Coasters.  They bring out the child in all of us.

"Don't Get Stuck" Enjoy Life! Design

We should never forget our past.  It has a purpose to our lives.  Fond memories, lessons of life....but there is a difference between remembering our past and being stuck in it.  Your past can either hold you back like the anchor of a boat or move you forward like a sail with the latter as the optimal choice.

Who doesn’t want to move forward right?  I think it’s safe to say that‘s the goal for most of us....to not only move forward but in a positive way.  No matter how hard you try,  yesterday, last year, or 10 years ago will never come back around twice.  I don’t care how many times you click your heels or twitch your nose, in the real world it just doesn’t happen.  So what choice do you have?  Well, you have a lot of Choices.  That’s the beauty of the future.  It hasn’t happened yet so you have the ability to create whatever masterpiece you would like still.  

Our pasts are the foundation of who we WERE and should always hold a certain level of importance in our lives but it’s our present and our future that determine who we truly ARE and WILL BECOME.  The wind of time is waiting to take the sailboat of your life wherever you would like to go but before you can ever move forward at all, you’ll need to bring up the anchor that’s holding you still.  It is only then that your Journey through life will become Weightless and Limitless.

“Palm Tree Lights” Abstract Enhanced Photography Artwork

The beauty of abstract artworks is the lack of the obvious.  Now for this one I give it away with the title but if the title was unknown or if I had chosen a non-descriptive title, the subject matter wouldn’t be so obvious and that is what makes abstract works of art so unique.  They make the viewer work a little harder for the answers and that’s all part of the fun.

For this artwork, as I often do for my abstract photography artworks, I’ve zoomed into the subject matter.  By doing this, I was able to bring a powerful intensity to the light reflection which therefore helps to create a wonderful energy spectrum to the artwork.  The lights are so intense, in a positive way, that it brings another of level of abstraction.  Palm trees already have a great essence to them during the day but with the lights of the night shining through them here, something very special came to the surface of art creation and there is nothing abstract about that.

“Seagull Love” Enhanced Photography Artwork

I love how the blue of the water shines in the background of this Seagull close up.  Birds have such a uniqueness over most of the Animal Kingdom because of their ability to fly.  It’s also quite amazing what we have learned from them with regards to aerodynamics as it is no coincidence that an airplane has a similar design to a bird.  Everything is so connected between Nature and Man.  None of it is by accident and all of it has a purpose.

“Breathe” Enjoy Life! Design

When anxiety strikes establishing a certain mantra that works for you can help you find your center.  My words here may help or find words of your own that will do the trick.  The most important thing is to find the words and/or actions that will help you move past the anxiety and bring you back to a state of calmness.  The action of Breathing, itself, stimulates calmness within you.  Once you’ve calmed down, you will then be able to focus better as well as see things more clearly and rationally.  From there, you will have better control over your mind and the choices you make including seeing the Positive side of any situation.  All can be well in your world if you let it be.  It has always been up to YOU.
