✖ ✖ Nails on a... Whiteboard? [Kaitaro&Terumi]
They’d never really had to deal with grief before, didn’t know the first thing about doing so. Sure they’d considered it in the abstract (who hadn’t) but it had never been so… real. Cry? Scream? Sit there numbly, pretending it hadn’t happened? Everything felt insignificant, everything was empty. They never should have gotten attached.
Their grab for a companion had been at random, anything to avoid Annie or Nana and the dead body of their late friend. The unfortunate victim: Terumi. Kaitaro had grabbed her by the hand without speaking and all but dragged her away through the dressing room and into the main of the second floor. A turn, still pulling her, to arrive at the room decorated with middle school quality lab equipment and Senpai Kai himself. In the laboratory, they marched straight up to the whiteboard and gave it a look over before addressing it with a stoic glance and dragging their fingers directly down its surface. The ensuing squeaking sound was... sadly anticlimactic, if they had to be honest-- it was no nails on a chalkboard sort of result. Overall, they felt dumb.
“Miu-san… who in our class would you find least likely to kill someone else…? I would have thought the nun, personally, but well. Looks can be deceiving…”
Who knew someone so delicate could threaten murder over a secret so… so stupid? They weren’t even angry anymore, they’d spent that energy, just tired. Expressionlessly, they grabbed a piece of chalk and scrawled the secret they’d received for the nun onto the whiteboard, word for word.
“…She threatened to kill me over this… How foolish.”
