so Katy Perry's Eye of the Tiger came on the radio while I was driving home. 

And all I could think of was all the Amis at some bar or one of there houses, and Grantaire getting even more drunk than usual one day and singing this song to Enjolras in front of everyone when it starts to play, complete with little head bobs, dramatic gestures, and fabulous dancing and being awesome overall while Enjolras has no idea how to deal with the amount of cute that is happening in front of him

LIKE, ARCEN IS IN SOME WAYS TO HIM WHAT ALCOHOL IS TO GRANTAIRE (they work differently, arcen gives Beraht different abilities and alcohol numbs the world, but they both rely on it a lot and it essentially defines them in the eyes of many other characters)

AND WE KNOW FROM THE JOURNAL IN BOUND THAT BERAHT ENDS UP TAKING UP DRAWING AS A HOBBY AND ACTUALLY REALLY LIKING IT

AND THEY BOTH HAVE THE LOWEST SELF-ESTEEM OF ALL THE CHARACTERS IN THE BOOKS, LIKE BERAHT LITERALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY/BELIEVE THAT ANYBODY WANTS HIM AROUND AFTER HE'S COMPLETED HIS DUTIES AS THE BREAKER, HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHY DIETER WOULD NAME HIS SWORD AFTER HIM HE JUST

2. Both of them rely on arguing with/irritating their lover to get their attention

3. They're both artists

4. Both have severe self-esteem issues
