Contrary to his stoic features, Wonwoo was very much capable of conjuring a joke out of thin air and at the most unexpected times possible (much like the time when he had made an unsuspecting Minghao believe one could pass abalone for money). ❝ I’m telling you, noona. Do not judge a book by its cover, as they say. ❞ His words are accompanied by steady nodding, the tip of his index finger tapping against the table in a rhythmic manner. Perhaps convincing someone of a conspiracy theory he had stumbled upon on the web was a tougher task than he’d imagined. If anything, his words might have had more weight if he himself believed in it but Wonwoo being the sensible one (or so he’d like to believe) found them to be a good way to pass time while feeling too knackered to challenged Jihoon to a game of LoL or to pick up a book and read. ❝ I mean, the person who made a claim that the moon isn’t real must’ve had something to go off of, right? ❞ His lips twitch, threatening to give in to amusement but he stays put, curious to see if she was going to be one of those gullible victims of his like Minghao.

Says the girl who is absolutely gorgeous visually and personality-wise. I would also love to get to know you, love. How does frozen yogurt runs sound like to you? she was only there because her friend said it would be good for her. “you just look like you’re stressed all the time,” she was told. “you should find something fun to do to express yourself creatively! art or something, you know? something that will help you get your feelings out.” yerin wanted to argue that she didn’t want to get her feelings out, but promised that she would stop by the arts and crafts store after work anyway - mostly to get jiyeon off her case and, partly, because she was curious. she couldn’t remember the last time she’d done anything creative on a sheet of paper. it was something that most kids did growing up, and she did have vague memories of scribbling with crayons once upon a time, but those memories were so far off by now that she was almost not certain they were even real. a lot of times when yerin thought back to her life before her abduction, she was uncertain if things she remembered were real at all. 

at the store, she found herself very overwhelmed by the artistic tools offered to her. yerin didn’t have a lot of money to spend on a normal day, and normally wouldn’t splurge on something so useless. after all, it was purely her goal to survive here in the city and sometimes didn’t even have enough money to buy herself something good to eat. this could cost her a sandwich later, but if jiyeon didn’t get her painting of a sunflower as promised, there would be no end to the nagging. yerin hated being told what to do, but hated the nagging even more. and, truthfully, at some point she’d learned that jiyeon tended to nag only because she cared, and that wasn’t necessarily such a bad thing anyway.

“um...excuse me?” she asked the first person she saw, which happened to be another young lady. “do you work here?”

【  제이。 he doesn’t shy away from showing his annoyance, if needed, particularly because it is one of those days when absolutely nothing looks good on him --- or at least it seems so to him, when in reality it’s the same old jae everyone knows. “huh, wait... what’s the point of taking pictures of me if you’re not planning on posting them? i’d be strangely and awkwardly flattered of that, if you weren’t tapping all over your screen for dumb filters. you think i haven’t noticed?” brows twitch into a frown, height coming to his advantage as he looks over to her phone, his doubts now confirmed. “hana please, i’m supposed to be the nagging friend, but you’ve already stolen my role. like --- what am i supposed to do now? be genuinely nice and kind? unrealistic.” well now, since he felt the immense need to stand his own ground, now he’s fully-exposed in front of the camera, and on top of that, he’s sporting an unusually grumpy expression.
