shadow shows up @ club rouge with half of his head missing like ugh had a bad day at work

@kkoumori​: her hands are behind her back, hiding something. oh no. "i got you a present." she doesn't tell him how she got it. that's not important. "ta-daaa!" rouge whips her arms round to reveal a bag with a small betta fish inside. the body is black before its tail explodes into a fan of vibrant vermillion, "isn't he handsome? he reminded me of you, so i had to get him!" she offers him the bag, "whataya' think? you wanna' take care of him?" she doesn't want to force a responsibility on him.

          ╳ ┊ u l t i m a t e  »  ———He definitely didn’t expect it to be a fish. Shadow tilts his head a bit as he examines the fish with his gaze. So pretty.. but did Rouge seriously think this was a good idea? He had no idea how to take care of something so small and delicate. “Rouge.. But I’m.. How do I..?” Hesitation is clear in his voice but a hand reaches to grab the bag anyway. He’s not someone who would reject a gift from his best friend. “Hmph. You are going to help me with him, aren’t you?”

"y'ever thought about smilin' more, doll? just a lil smile? quick smile for me?" she doesn't expect him to comply, but gives his ear a tap anyway, "you're a good guy, shadow. best guy i know! someone," wink. "will be very lucky t'have you!"

His face did redden and he quickly turned his head away before crossing his arms over his chest. “If that was the truth, I probably would smile more. But... I appreciate the gesture Rouge.” The last comment hit him. And his face got redder.
