AmecanAU Al is a florist and Mat is a tattooer and they're across the street from each other and Al is crushing on this badass seeming guywho smiles at him when taking out the trashand the one day he goes to Arthur and is like this is it I'm gonna get his number and Art'slike wtf how als like I'm getting a tattoo brb Art's like nO but als already gone so he goes and gets his number(even tho he screamed rlly loud in front of him)and gets to know how kind he is and falls for him even more my hEart

i think it is Very Important to consider the fact that matthew would most likely have tattoos of his own. Alfred sees them all up close for the first time and is sort of mesmerized by them bc theyre all very elaborate and matthews like yeah i designed them and had a buddy do the actual tattooing and alfred is really struck by how artistic matthew is? he clearly is creative and while alfred doesnt know if the images themselves represent important things to matthew, its clear that the artistic process itself is a critical part of who he is.
also this could totally go a step further and, within the more nsfw realm of things, could play a role in body worship stuff 👀👍🏻🙌🏻
