Last night I got high as fuck before going to sleep and I had the most vivid dream that I was in a group chat on tumblr but the members were my classmates from middle school. I hated them back then and I haven't spoken to them in 8 years. But for some reason I was venting to them about klance. I clearly remember sending voice messages saying that the only reason klance didn't become canon was because it'd be too predictable and they thought a "no way!!" couple was a better idea for the show. I mean, Keith and Lance were so obviously shippable it was painful. Ice and fire, rivals that ended up soft asf for each other, black cat x golden retriever, introvert x extrovert, no family x big family. Of COURSE had they been in any other show they'd be making out by season 4. And also, in "voltron: defender of the universe" Keith ended up with Allura, so no one expected a paladin to end up with her in the new version, especially since they portrayed her 100 times stronger and badass and unaffected by Lance's flirting. They just wanted to throw us off guard, building up to the perfect couple but not really building up to it, only making it obvious for the trained eye. Then I started feeling really embarrassed because no one was answering and I got a private dm from my friend telling me klance WASN'T platonic in canon, but it was just Keith having an unrequited crush for 8 seasons straight. It really made me think. They were actually hinting to it, but they couldn't say so because they knew they wouldn't actually be together in the end. I'm probably not making any sense but nothing makes sense.
Btw this made me realize I really need to get a life so today I went out and literally got a job lmao
