Hey so this might actually be my favourite piece I've done yet. I'm kind of obsessed. {No1 obsession, mayhaps}

This is, of course, fanart of my beloved Lance McClain from one of my fav fics EVER “Chasing the Limit” on ao3 by @altean-mouse and @cool-and-grizzled

They are absolutely AMAZING and their fic is astonishing. If you like Voltron and F1, and maybe even if you're not a fan of F1 I definitely recommend it. Please please go and show them some love

Also, if anyone knows whose podium celebration I used for that there right drawing I will love you SO MUCH.

just wanted to say that chasing the limit is. one of the most incredible pieces of klance literature ive ever ever ever come across !!! i was scared to get into it since i knew nothing of f1 really, but its was that piece by starsoupart that had me reading all of it in one sitting. oh boy, thank god thank GOD i did. then you posted chp 15 and i went into orbit. it is so perfect -- the way you guys wringgggg keith's guilt, capture lance's personality, and weave in the socmed pieces. its so so cool, so authentic. i think they way they're getting closer is so spot on for their characters; you know them so well.

the races must be so hard to write but they're so awesome to read. i was at the singapore 2016 race but i was zonked then and anything i know abt f1 is now because of you guys. im glad for it.

i know you have a crazy life outside it all so im really grateful you guys found the time to create and share something so beautiful. ahh thank you!!!

Hi! Sorry for the delay, irl life got wild (our baby was in the midst of make a very early appearance when you originally messaged and we've had to take some steps to tell her to stay put!) and I have had it in my head to respond and... now it's been 2 weeks. I'm SO glad you're enjoying it! We work really, really hard to make sure the story is completely understandable and accessible with 0 knowledge of F1, or that something that is essential to know is fully explained. At no point is there going to be anything hyperspecific to the sport that you MUST know to fully follow the plot beyond "car in front win, get points, yay" I really apprecaite the notes on characterization, thank you so much! Characterization is SO important to me, I work really hard at it. And I love a slow burn, I want to feel like we've earned every little step in their relationship.
