Alluras resistance to playing Keith
Ok I think we can all agree that S4 was pretty close to actual trash. BUT I WAS RE WATCHING IT AND I REALIZED SOMETHING
Now in “The Voltron Show” Coran is giving personas to the paladins. Lover boy Lance, Space wiz Pidge, Shiro the Hero, Humerous Hunk, and Lone Wolf Keith. Who sadly, had to be played by Allura. After Keith’s departure, Allura has had to take over the many roles of Keith. And she seemed really upset over it. Same in previous episodes.
But the weird thing is- Allura really wanted to be a paladin. So why is she so upset? Especially because she’s playing the RED paladin. That was her dads lion! She really wanted that when they were looking for a new paladin to fly red.
But have you thought, Keith is half Galra. The species that KILLED most of Alluras species. So that might explain it. She might feel like a traitor to the Alteans.
I mean also she doesn’t wanna date Lance I mEan.
Also, Allura shows the tension between her and them Galra folk when trying to figure out who helped Shiro escape. She says “You know you cannot trust them” when talking about the Galra who saved our beloved space dad Shiro.
I had to get it out there because it’s all I’ve been thinking about lately.
