I just find it interesting how in official voltron art, lance and keith always, always seem to be revolving around or at least near each other

Voltron
Scary reminder that Voltron ends in 2 days 😊
Klance is canon king
Optimism
they took these pictures from the scene where Keith told Lance he was going to save Acxa, are y’all thinking what I’m thinking?
Remember when Keith woke up before the other paladins and the fists thing he saw was Lance and Allura next to each other? Yeah, no fanfiction, canon content S7, E11, 2:35
dumb theory time
what if lance noticing how different keith is it's more than just a joke, but a subtle way to tell us that lance really observes keith, focus on him enough to notice small differences bc let's be honest keith does NOT look THAT different tbh. he's taller and his hair is a little longer but it wasn't something to get shocked about.
the reason lance got so awed is bc he knows keith's physical appearance better than anyone else: HELLO he recognized keith when no one else did and by the fucking mullet!
my other theory is that that scene represented the "seeing someone in a new light" trope. it would make perfect sense because the way lance looks at keith is like he's seeing him for the first time. and maybe IT WAS the first time he ACTUALLY saw keith and not someone he wants to compete with.
that's all, thank you for coming to my ted talk.
KICK
Casual reminder that I am 112% confident Klance will be canon
If you need some optimism or a pick-me-up in the remaining 8.5 hours, I'm your gal!
And when they become canon, please come scream with me!!
I know there are a thousand of these already but here’s my optimistic Klance analysis of that moment in The Feud
Y’all so I had to pause and catch my breath when Lance said Keith was the future. My first thought was that he was calling Keith HIS future. And that’s kinda what his face says too.
But this has been discussed enough as being romantically coded so ya know, let’s get to the part that people are having a harder time being optimistic about:
So in other discussions of this, people have pointed out often that Keith writes down Lance so quickly for this that Lance is his first choice. Now then why does he respond like this? Well, yeah he’s bad at expressing emotions but also he’s a hothead and easily annoyed. He’s gone through a lot of growth but trust me, when you have a temper, its still super easy to become irritated with someone, even if they mean a lot to you. We’ve seen it before in s6 with their reunion and I discussed it there.
Although all the ideas in that linked post are a bit outdated because of the actual outcome of the season, the reason for why Keith was cold to Lance still stands true: there was obvious tension and Keith was more nervous and focused on that so he reacted to Lance coldly. So yes, I think this still applies. Because they were being told that they would never get to leave this game show if they didn’t win and while I love Lance a lot, he was kinda making things difficult for the team with his sporadic guessing and poor attempt at the faces game (in his defence, I’m horrible at names too lol). Like even Allura got mad at him but no one is talking about that?
So I think Keith was mostly talking out of irritation because he was probably a bit irked at Lance. So then why did he still choose Lance? Well, someone on Twitter said that Keith puts the mission above all else and knows that Lance is very skilled and great with people so he would still be able to continue Voltron’s mission... but that got me thinking about another thing from s6...
Keith has grown A LOT because of the time with his mom so I believe he doesn’t put the mission first anymore. So no, the main reason he chooses Lance to leave the game isn’t because he hates him or because he wants Lance to carry on the mission (although Keith knows this is a bonus), but because he wants to protect the person he cares most about, just like his mom. I even made a post about this in the past too. Because ya know, VLD loves its parallels and over-arching messages and made a lot this season too.
So yes, I’m still optimistic and I’m gonna stay that way until the bitter (or sweet) end lol!

Thank you for making that plural. I swear If I had to choose. DX
These just scratched the surface of my Klance screenshots.
Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk :3
