So after Season 7 came out and I was heartbroken and disappointed, I wrote a fix it script with a lot of moments that I wish were addressed in canon. This is just one episode that I posted on twitter, but I thought I would share it here too if anyone is interested.
I’m sorry folks. Due to helping my sick mother, a stressful work week, and VLD drama we haven’t had the time or the energy to get the next chapter ready for posting. Please look forward to it next week.
In the mean time, through out the day @sometimesafangirl and I will be posting post-Season 6 script like snippet fanfic. We wanted to do something for the fandom to show we support this ship like all the other amazing fanarts, stories, and essays that have come out. So here is the first little bit (we’ve been working through one drive while we do our respective life stuff)
Part 1/?? under the cut (Season 6 spoilers)
Part 1/?? (May become NSFW but not yet)
Keith: (Walking out of Shiro’s room, nodding to Romelle) He fell asleep.
Romelle: I’d imagine so. His journey has been a tough one. For all of you.
Keith: (tiny smile while looking at the door) Thank you for letting us stay here while we get ourselves together.
Romelle: It’s the least I can do. You, Krolia and the others have done so much for my people.
Keith: (puff laugh) I don’t think I could keep Allura and Coran away from this place even if I tried. They thought they were the only ones. I can’t imagine what seeing this place meant to them.
Romelle: But it can’t all be happy, can it? Soon you’ll leave and the fighting will continue.
Keith: (frowns thoughtfully) Have you seen Yorak?
Romelle: He was heading out to the forest. I believe. Following the blue paladin.
Keith: (nods and rests a hand on her shoulder) Thank you again.
Romelle: Of course.
Keith: (walks out to the woods, most of his armor off and he hears a fair amount of grunting so he follows the sound)
Lance: (swinging the broadsword, grunting with each overhand swing, but he stops after a moment, panting, sweat making his hair cling to his forehead and neck)
Keith: (leaning against a tree watching with his arms folded) A sword, hm? (steps forward) Not bad.
Lance: (whirls around, eyes wide) Don’t sneak up on me like that!
Keith: (blink blink) I was just walking.
Yorak: (sitting on its haunches and turns its head to Keith, tail wagging)
Keith: (walks up and scratches Yorak behind the ear) Your form could use some work. (head tilt and he looks up and down him) A broad sword is heavy. It can drag your weight too much and use too much so you have to make every hit count. Your stance is good though.
Lance: (snorts a little) I—I know that. (looks away from him and down at the sword) That’s why I was practicing.
Keith: Practicing without training? I’ve never seen you use a sword before and The Garrison had given up on that kind combat awhile ago. (Bayard forms a sword in his hand and he stands beside him) Like this. (takes up a stance) Follow my movements. (swings sword slowly and fluidly)
Lance: (Lifts his gaze and turns his head to watch him, but he doesn’t mimic any of his movements) Keith…
Keith: (blinks again, stopping) I guess it has been a long enough day. ( scratches his cheek wincing over the burn and drops his hand)
Lance: (shaking his head and leaning in to look at the mark) We should get you something to make that hurt less.
Keith: Don’t worry. It will heal. (looks up at Lance then looks away) How are you holding up?
Lance: (blinks and just seems to slacken a bit, the sword falling out of his hand and landing on the grass at his feet) I…
Keith: W-woah. Lance? (puts his hand on his shoulder)
Lance: (forces a smile and shakes his head) I’m fine. Everything’s fine. It’s good. Great, even. Everything is great.
Keith: Which usually means the world is falling apart. Look I’m not great at prying into other people’s lives and giving advise or whatever. I actually kind of suck at it. But I’m here now and everyone else is doing something. So let me at least hear you out. You look like you want to talk.
