Like it’s not explicitly said, but the boys both doubt they still have the right to be a paladin of voltron (and the galra part is quite explicit)

Lance: What ? Need to hit the training deck for the 10th time today ?

Lance: Listen, I won’t take long okay ? Hum, it’s just ... You seemed kind of out of it today ? Is everything okay ? 

Keith: Oh. Yeah. Everything is fine. 

Lance: Keith...

Keith: Lance, I’m fine. There’s nothing. Now let me go.

Lance: You know, because we’re a team and all so you [Keith stop listening]

Keith: LET ME GO ALREADY ! YOU’RE A BOTHER ! WHY DON’T YOU WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN PROBLEMS ?!

Keith: [realize] Lance I -

Lance: No. It’s ok. I mean who do I think I am, right ? hy the fuck did I think you would even confide in me ? *haha*

Keith: Lance, it’s not ! Listen ! I didn’t mean ! -

Lance: It’s OK  I told you, I get it ! The bother is going to leave your emo ass alone. I got better things to do anyway. 

Lance: But hey, Keith. Whatever is eating you, at least talk to Shiro about it okay ?! Or Hunk. He gies the best hugs.
