New Kitten

I hope this isn't dumb- but you're one of my favorite blogs and as a fellow cat lover, I was wondering if you could help me out?

I'm adopting a sweet baby calico from a friend of a friend who takes care of a feral barn cat. And I am trying to think of names for her.

I've considered Butterscotch, Dr. Butters, Nugget, Mischief, and Merlin. But I'm still super unsure. Do you have any ideas?

She's got a lil crescent moon on her face! And I get to meet her this sunday. I hope my asking isn't a bother!

Personally; I love the name Butterscotch or even Buttercup might work? Could nickname her Dr. Butters when she’s bein’ a smarty pants ♥ Hell, if she has a half moon on her face, could even call her Crescent, even? Shorten it to Cres, Cressie... Merlin would be a fun little play on names, too!! Perhaps even go with something like her fur color? Could go with Callie, Creamie, Cruffle... Ahhh, so many names to choose from!! ; o ;

Adoption scenario for klawla

( @klawla, your King adoption! )

*You shuffle nervously as you wait at the front desk for Vex. You want to adopt one of the King lamia bitties, but you don’t want to be a bother. Vex’s call of “I’ll be right there!” reassures you that you’re more than welcome at the adoption center. Vex appears at the desk, a bit out of breath from whatever she was doing. She recognizes you the moment you introduce yourself.

* “Ah, yes, the Kings have been waiting for you,” she says with a smile. “We were just moving things in the Meet and Greet room so that you could be comfortable while they show off.” Vex steps around the counter to lead you to the Meet and Greet room, but she barely gets more than a step before two Kings show up to shoo her away. They want to handle this themselves.

*The Kings both offer you their arms and escort you to the Meet and Greet area where a large comfortable chair has been set up in the center of the room. Kings are lined up along the walls, waiting patiently for your arrival. The two Kings who brought you in get you settled into the chair. They tuck a nice fluffy blanket around you then join the rest of the Kings in the queue. The room buzzes with excitement.

*Once you’ve gotten comfortable, the Kings parade in front of you, each flaring his hood, bowing, then striking various heroic poses to impress you. You applaud each King’s efforts, but one of them has already drawn your attention more than the others. One of the King’s who escorted you to the Meet and Greet room is trying very hard not to stare hopefully at you. His hood pattern is lovely, the skulls dark against the lighter scales underneath.

*When it is this King’s turn to display, he has trouble meeting your eyes. You can tell that he wants so badly to be chosen. He flares his hood, bows deeply, and kisses your hand. He turns his back to you for a moment before beginning his display, and when he whirls to face you again, he’s holding the stem of a silk rose in his teeth. You know he’s the one you want to adopt, but you wait until every King has done his display and been praised for it to choose him.

*The King bites off the rose stem and tucks it behind your ear while you fill out his paperwork. You’re blushing bright enough to match his scales.

(I hope you're still doing match ups, I've never done one before. Lamia boys plz) Asexual. 5"6. Hard working but needs reminders to take anx/depr meds. Naps lots, but shakes violently when its actual sleep time/consistent nightmares. Loves painting, good food/wine. Enjoys both resting at home and dressing up to go to a nice bar. Easily spooked by everything, and maybe too forgiving to others? Healing from car crash/spine injury but will return to aerialist(silks/lyra/pole) and ballroom dancing.

*I really want to give you the traditional three recommendations, but one lamia bitty (in full-size) really stands out to me for you, and that is a King.

King (UF!Papyrus): A King will remind you to take care of yourself, and if necessary, he will take care of you. Kings are protective, so a King would comfort you from any nightmares you might have and protect you from anyone who might frighten you or try to take advantage of you. A King would adore a fancy evening enjoying food and wine with you, and the fact that you ballroom dance and do aerials? Icing on the cake even if it’s something that must wait for your recovery.

A Papython (UT!Papyrus) could also work because they are very sweet and helpful. Papythons will remind their owners to take medicine and provide affection and comfort from nightmares. A Papython is a very positive and encouraging compaion to have.

Chain’s (SF!Papyrus) SOUL bond would make him to responsive to anything that frightens you including nightmares. A Chain is content to spend lazy days with you, but he can also be quite active. Chains are quite protective and incredibly loyal.

A question! I can't remember what you named it, but you had a fantastic Hardenshipping fic that I can't seem to find anymore. The only line I can remember is Maxie saying "If anyone asks, nothing has happened between us. NOTHING." If it's still up maybe you could point me in it's direction? I'd love to read it again!
