loved the plotline of violet. wished the game wasn’t buggy/laggy af :’)

there is a lot to be said (and has already been said) on the pressure developers are underneath due to nintendo’s incredibly short production cycle, but i am very curious how they will retroactively fix things in future patches. they seemed to imply they would be making an effort to listen to players, but how well will they listen?

we shall see!

losing mr ketchum is VERY bittersweet. i remember parking myself in front of my grandma’s tv as a child watching the one (1) vhs tape she had from pokemon, which was the episode with ash and ponyta. i watched that thing religiously when a new episode wasn’t airing on cable, or rewatching the handful of movies my mom and grandma bought that i had practically memorized lol.

he’s long overdue for retirement, and part of me wishes he could have grown up with the rest of us kids, but idk how that’d fit with tpc’s merchandising goals and catering to new gens of kids lol

what im SUPER curious is tho... are these new protagonists gonna be the next mainstays? will these kids be stuck in 10 yr old limbo for the next 25 years? or will we see them treating them more like ash’s sidekicks, aggressively recycled and changed out with every new generation?

like... i havent watched the anime since i was a kid, and im not starting now lmao, but i WILL be eyeballing it from the sidelines from a pure curiosity standpoint to see how it goes.

imho i would’ve liked it if they made every new season focused on the protagonists of the games and made it more in-tune with the games. it’d be sooo easy to get away with.

current pierro, during the traveler’s adventures, is cold, calculating, and a master manipulator. his primary objective and fixation is to avenge khaenri’ah and ensure that the disaster that befell them cannot occur a second time.

however, the old pierro peeks out whenever dainsleif is around, and he notably softens/will speak to dainsleif as he used to, whereas dainsleif always has his guard up. does he soften up enough, however, to reconsider his goals and the great cost of them?

probably not!
