Why must all the things I enjoy cause back pain? Drawing? Back pain. Reading? Back pain. Embroidering? Back pain. Playing video games? Back pain. Legos? Back pain. Contorting my body into hideous shapes? Well you'll never guess

Holy shit I am so in love with my wife. Like, they looked at me and smiled? My wife? Damn. Goddamn. Fuck. We're MARRIED oh my god this is the best shit ever
I had a really terrifying dystopian dream the other night that I feel like would make good horror, but in the age of billionaires looking at cautionary tales like "Don't Create the Torment Nexus" and then making that very same thing, I really have reservations about putting new ways to make life miserable out there, y'know?
I'm tired of feeling sensations right now.
I just want to pop off my limbs like a Mr. Potato Head toy and enjoy the sweet freedom of not feeling my legs or arms for a while
Am I exhausted because I work an emotionally taxing job? Is it the economic instability stress? Is it the physical demands? Is it the mental illness? The decade-old health crisis that left me immunocompromised? The state of the world and the rise of fascism all around us?
Or did I just not get enough sleep last night? Who's to say
I'm currently reading The Turn of the Screw, which is the short story that they adapted for The Haunting of Bly Manor, and it's really interesting to see what stayed the same and what changed.
And while I'm enjoying it on its own, it is DEEPLY making me want to rewatch Bly (and fucking cry again)
what (who?) is your favotire oc that you have created?
oh JEEZ, I don't talk about my OCs a ton here but I do have them! I think my favorite would have to be my character Lily the Wolfgirl, who I haven't drawn any new art of for a while but she is so special to my heart.
This is some old art - Lily has been around since.... 2014, I think? I made her accidentally when I was sketching a girl with a pen and fucked up the arms, so I decided "fuck it" and made them monstrous werewolf arms. Then I couldn't stop thinking about her and she had a whole story and character arc and she snowballed from there.
She's always been a representation, for me, of being forced femininity and dealing with the pressure of being seen as "the golden child" when the person idolized ignored my own wants, needs, and feelings.
(most recent drawing, 2022) Her story has never been written down, really, and as much as I would like to, I don't know that I ever will. But she's incredibly special to me and I'm excited to share what parts of her I can. :)
Anonymous ask!! Newish follower- have you ever dyed your hair? If so, when and what colors?
I bleached my hair completely blonde once, and then I used to bleach streaks in my hair! The last time I did it though, I fucked up and turned into a redhead. It wasn't a bad look, but definitely not intentional. I haven't done it in a while, but every so often I think about doing it again!
