Okay so, I watched the Lord of Mysteries anime, and now I'm on the books, because there's no way in hell I'm waiting until 2035 to see the ending of this!
I flippen love this series so far!
ANYWAYS I've had an au idea in my head for a while now, and I think it's too funny not to share!
Basically, Klein refused to join the Nighthawks, and instead just relies on the gray fog and his revolver! BUT- SOMEHOW- He Always Ends Up In The Same Places!
Normal episode - Kid gets kidnapped and Klein and Leonard go to find him.
AU version - Leonard is searching for the missing child, and finds the kid..... And Klein. The kidnappers took Klein too.
Leonard: "Wtf are you doing here?"
Klein: "I don't know..."
Leonard: "Isn't your family broke??"
Klein: "Hey! I'm a Professor at a University now! We're getting better!"
Leonard: DEEEEEEP SIGN.
Then like the time they ran into the Clown guy who had the notebook. Klein went and investigated to figure out where tf the book was, while the Nighthawks used the puppet.
In the episode, Klein used the gray fog to escape the puppet's thing, and he does that again here! And the Clown guy still tries to get Klein to join, but is like "Clearly you don't want to be a Nighthawk, maybe join us?????" and Klein is like "HELLLLLL No"
After this, Leonard decides to keep a close eye on him, and pretends he didn't see anything. (All he saw was some weird gray fog around Klein lol) like "Something is definitely up with this kid"
Idk about the rest of the books in the series yet, I just got Clown rn, but I just love the idea that Klein just has the Gray Fog and STILL somehow gets into all this bs XD
Also, how tf did Klein get into the HQ at the end you may ask!
They finally decided to just bring him in, like "Alright, we're done with this bs, your coming with us." Then eeevverything hits the fan.
