6 April Article Notes
52, and Still...
While there was not legal problem with the story, journalists have to be careful with ethical issues dealing with the sex industry. Although the subject is willing and wanting the publicity, no one can predict the consequences of the spotlight--police, nearby shops in the photo, bystanders--all can complain about the article. The journalist can attempt to be objective, but in giving a voice to Ms. Terry is to humanize her (she, as the subject, wants to be heard and understood), which leads to the ethical issues about publicity and glamorization.
A City Too Hot...
Event piece that builds characters within. The story dips into a profile on Mr. Heath. Drama is set in the scene and Mr. Heath is crowned as a modest hero. The end (calling mom) is the payoff.
Off to my 4 o'clock appointment at #kleinfield 💕💗😍👰🎀 (at Millennium Broadway Hotel)
One day I will say yes to the dress!
Vote for the only lesbian couple in a Kleinfeld Wedding competition!
Closes TOMORROW! Vote Vote Vote
My fiancé, Lisa, looks how I act, while I look how she acts! We are a butch-femme lesbian couple. I have an edgy, rocker look, but am the soft romantic on the inside. Lisa has a classic, American girl look (blonde hair, blue eyes), but is bold and rougher on her inner edges. We are a tale of complimentary opposites and will both be shopping at Kleinfelds. I will be purchasing a custom made tuxedo, while Lisa will be going for the perfect wedding dress. Congratulations New York for marriage equality!
Let's make a comparison.
Loving you is like falling in love with a Kleinfield dress way out of my budget. I know I can’t have it, but anything that comes along after just doesn’t measure up, and I can’t help but compare to the first and best. I don’t want to settle.
Say yes to the dress
So my nina said 'yes to the dress' today! It wasn't the dress for her though... my family that was with her started crying thinking it was the one so she said yes. She didn't even cry when she saw herself in it! That's a super important factor when you choose your wedding dress! Anyways, there was another dress that was on her mind after she had already bought her dress so she just kept crying all day. They're going back tomorrow to switch it. Ai adai, my Nina texted me saying if I was there this wouldn't have happened. I wish I could have gone! Maybe she'll take me when she goes back for her fitting in February!
I'm so jelly they got to go to Kleinfield!
