This is kinda depressing, he looks so eager and happy here; and then he turned into a complete asshole. That made me kinda sad in G1 as well, it just feels like everything could’ve turned out so very differently. Great gif!

Yupp, not to forget he was friends with Skyfire who is probably one of the kindest bots out there. Either G1 was super random as always or had one of its very rare deep moments with Starscream's background, either way I think it's very interesting and I wish they would have picked it up in the comics :(
