I was thinking about Henrik and... he really could’ve been a son of Ansel’s too. Henrik died before he ever killed anyone, he could’ve had the werewolf gene, and I’m pretty sure Esther’s affair with Ansel wasn’t a one-time thing.
But mostly why I subscribe to this idea, is because of what Ansel said: werewolves are drawn to their own blood. I don’t know if that works for those who haven’t triggered their curse yet, but I like to think that’s why Klaus and Henrik snuck out together to see the wolves in the first place: they were both drawn to their dad’s family. It wasn’t just mere adventurous curiosity, the wolves were literally howling for them, calling them home.
This makes Henrik’s death even more tragic and disturbing, knowing he’s killed by his own family. OR EVEN WORSE: his own father...... You know how Ansel said he woke closer to the village after every full moon? So he probably was already closeby when Henrik and Klaus snuck out??? As if this family didn’t have enough of parents trying to murder their own children, I think of yet another macabre scenario.
