The moment Marry had woken up in a stranger’s apartment, in a place she didn’t know, she had freaked. She didn’t remember straight away the circumstances that had brought her there, that she’d fallen asleep in their arms and begged them not to leave her, and so she’d darted up and straight out the door without a word--
Afterwards she had remembered and though she was still absolutely mortified by the situation and her actions. They had rescued her from the crowd, helped her down from the tree, held her as she sobbed and she had run away without even being able to say thank you.
So, as soon as she’d gotten back to her apartment (and met her roommate for the first time, as well), Marry had been trying to come up with a plan to do so. Unfortunately, every time she had approached the door to their apartment, she had found herself fleeing before she could even knock--
That was why she had placed a cutely written thank you note wrapped around a detailed and lifelike paper flower on their welcome mat. Why she had rung the doorbell. Why she had turned to run away quickly, but found herself slipping and now face first into the ground as the stranger opens the door behind her to the sight of a flower and a fallen fluff ball.
