Challenging myself...
One of my friends who I often go to musea to found this exhibition of Oscar Murillo in Kunstmuseum Den Haag. She tagged me in an Instagram post containing a winaction to go to the preview on the 10th of december. Guess who won... To be honest, I don’t know the work of Oscar Murillo that good. But since I’m always eager to learn more art, I love to go with her. My mission of friday: really take a look at his work beforehand, read into who he is, what he has done and past exhibitions. My focus would be to look at the exhibition itself instead of the artworks. How did they curate this exhibition? are there different mediums used? What is the urgency of showing work of Oscar Murillo? What are interesting takes I notice? What is the frame they used? And what does my friend think of this exhibition, since she is not situated in the artworld and does not study something art related (Law). I even hope that I can talk to the curator who should be at the preview....
